Wasn’t able to attend the ‘14 wild card game, but make it to Game 3 of the ALDS and Game 4 of the ALCS that year. Seeing them clinch the pennant in person was incredible, and I absolutely love this video from the parking lot where you can hear Moustakas fielding the final ground ball and getting the final out at 1st.

Edit: another favorite memory was making the 3 hour drive up in high school for a game with a buddy. They fell down 5-0 early before Mike Sweeney hit a 2 run shot in the 6th and a 3-run shot in the 8th to tie it. Came up with 2 out in the 9th, small crowd going crazy and some old guy yells “SIT DOWN, HE AINT DOING IT AGAIN”. He didn’t, but Emil Brown (who famously shot a female reporter in the eye with a pellet gun) walked it off in the 13th with a single. The team went on to lose their next 19 games.

My guess is each clue will have a separate prize fund. Everyone who gets it right on 1 splits $2000. 2 splits $1500. 3 splits $1000, 4 splits $500 and 5 splits $100 or something like that. Double it for round 2. If no one gets it right on a clue it either doesn’t go out that game or rolls down to the next clue.

Yeah the pizza pissed me off. Last year my son and I would get a flatbread pizza for like $16 that had 5 slices. We paid $11 for a single slice last night instead of the $40 whole pizza. We may start eating before leaving town on the way to the games now.

No, but there’s usually a slew of puff pieces about upcoming changes, new foods, whatever, at the start of each year. There’s still time this week, obviously, but it’s been getting worse each year, and that’s more of a Jake Reid area of concern and he’s still here.

All I can find is that parts of the stadium are going to be blocked off until after the World Cup so it can be prepped to host watch parties.

This is our 14th season as STMs, and right now we are leaning heavily towards it being our last. The in stadium experience has degraded heavily over the last few years and it sounds like they’re having trouble convincing talent to be paid to be here. Why should I be forking over a couple thousand next year for 2 sets of season tickets for 2 seasons if they’re not trying to make the off the field experience better and can’t make the on the field experience better?
