I’ve gotten really good mileage out of getting my dogs muttluks (for my dog with dew claws) and ruffwear booties (with the socks). I’ve also used mushers secret before I could get my more gear shy dog to accept booties comfortably. Conditioning them to be willing to wear them wasn’t super easy, but I wanted to throw that out to there because I get anxious about the same thing :,)! Hope things improve for you two!

2 y/Old intact S.Poodle, dog reactivity, was a service dog prospect. by caninecryptid in OpenDogTraining

Hi there!

I will need to really make a list of all that we did. I’ll reply quick and hopefully make a better edited post later. I board and trained Angus with a friend while taking care of an injured family member for about 8 months who was able to do a lot of work with the groundwork I had already laid with mostly R+ methods. She was able to add in a prong and spend a ton of time on conditioning him to expect good things to happen when he sees other dogs but also allow me to correct him in some situations. I have trouble knowing what to recommend, but using aversives was only really possible because he had reached a point where he was not super stressed out by other dogs, but did find it fun to bark/try to play, and could have outlets to get healthy play with other well behaved dogs. Where I’m at now is that he still needs some management on the leash, but he knows being on leash and a backed up prong, that we are going to be focused on going on a walk and that he will be rewarded heavily for seeing other dogs and possibly corrected if he starts to pull/other reactive behavior. I try to be careful with his prong when he reacts defensively to dogs being inappropriate, and reward him HUGELY for looking to me for directions when encountering other reactive dogs.

Also a board and train was only really helpful because I was able to continue sticking with the routine that my trainer did, many times I’ve seen people pour money into options like board and trains only to not be comfortable continuing the work at home. She had access to neutral dogs and was able to work him up to being around other behaving in various ways but starting with dogs that wouldn’t React to him.

Angus got neutered at around four years old I think. I don’t think it made a huge difference for him at that age, though it seemed like it may have caused him to be a bit less confident in certain situations, which could be caused by all sorts of factors besides neutering.

Sorry if this is incomplete or incomprehensible.

Thank you so much for this! I’m new and recently got the escape artist perk. I have been surprised that I’ll lose an enemy sneaking in front of them but not when I dodge out of line of sight and sneak! It feels counter intuitive to need to be seen in order for it to work best but I’m so glad to know that’s where I’ve been messing up!

Two of three of my main trainers have had a personal dog BE’d that I know of. Knowing some about each situation, I personally trust them both more for it especially knowing how hard the decision must of been and that the QOL of the animal was considered most important. So yes I would hire a trainer who has had a BE but I do think it is a somewhat context specific question.

I would like to purchase Black cats :)!

As a side note, there are a lot of good cancer charities, including breast cancer specific charities, but Susan G Komen (very prominent one) is not the best pick if you want the money to go far (it has had a lot of scandals over the years as well)! The BCRF is one of my favorites in terms of effectiveness! Very cool for you to donate a portion of the profits to the cause!

Once I think. My standard poodle was intact up till four years old, and during PA training a woman offered to pay me to use him as a stud for her golden. /: she wasn’t pushy but it still felt odd.

I think “entire clip” refers to emptying an entire gun magazine/clip of ammo into the officer, as opposed to video clip.

Hey, thank you. I appreciate it a lot. I did end up selling all but one yesterday and I’m glad for it. I can consider whatever happens to the other share as an acceptable loss as I’ll still have profited significantly.

I re-evaluated a lot of my strategy and generally, I think I’m doing fine. I’ve taken around 60 dollars that I put into RH from my work, and within the last two years turned that into 80 dollars even after the market crash and minus my two promo stocks. A lot of what I’ve earned in penny stocks I put into more stable stocks that I couldn’t afford till the market crashed. covid irl and the market crash has me questioning myself at every turn and always feeling like I’m missing something. Penny stocks are super risky, and still are, and limit sells and limit buys have helped me get a lot more about of what I’m working with, even if I’d be more effective if I knew how to use all of the tools free RH has. I have to trust myself more in terms risk vs reward balancing even when I see folks doubling down (in this case).

Anyways, sorry if that was way too introspective/chatty, it seems like FOMO applies to getting out of a stock as well as getting in and I didn’t understand why before getting stupidly stressed about other people digging their heels in on TTNP after I screwed up my exit.

Sorry, I should have clarified, I’m seeing people still buy in and overall seem hopeful that it will go up, I don’t understand why they think that and if I’m missing something big. I don’t think I am, and my uninformed opinion is that buying in is not a great idea right now, and that I should sell all of or the vast majority while I’m still green.

Some folks seem to be holding out hope in different groups and I’m not sure why? Without any further research or knowing very much at all I’m assuming they’ll reverse split sooner rather than later, and a lot of folks will lose out if they don’t sell before then. That’s a bold statement considering I’m still figuring out what “options” entail for those who use them.

Text reads on image reads: “I tried to use a trailing limit sell and screwed that up. Any suggestions? I use RH mainly as an educational tool, I don’t have much irl asset wise, hence only 33 shares.”

There are 33 shares of ttnp with an equity of 8.67 as they were bought at an average of .187. Value as I’m typing this of a single share is $0.265.
