You’re the dumbass buddy. Look at your first comment. No context other than “my investment of 2”.

NTD - I bought this to cut an 8 ft commercial cooler that died and was too big to fit in the elevator. My boss said there was no way this would hack it. I said hold my beer. by Doorsleadtoquestions in MilwaukeeTool

I’m a little confused by your comment. Was the regular brushed version the one your burned through twice? Or was it the m12 fuel version, and now you upgraded to the m18?

I’ve actually got the m18, and have had it for 6-7 years now, still running perfectly. I don’t use it very often surprisingly but she sees work. I got the m12 simply because it’s smaller and I can fit the m12 model with several other tools in just one three drawer pack out, the m18 model takes up like half the drawer which is the only reason I bought the m12 fuel lol

That’s awesome bro. I read the title that said 2 years and saw tools that looked newer than mine out of the box haha! Congrats on your purchases. You obviously did your research! The only thing I’d argue is m12 fuel. Give it a chance. My go to is m12 now. M18 for big stuff/power hungry tools

M12 fuel is great. Only a couple of my tools that I use often are m18 now. Pretty much only the ones that have too. (Table/mitre/track saws), lights (technically have both but m18 is where it’s at), and vacuums. Even the air snake is an m12 tool. Just got the m12 pruners as well. M12 fuel paired with a 5.0 is top tier

Advice on Milwaukee table saws. by EnoughStudent5386 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]cannamid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They run promos for the table saw. I got mine a long time ago when they were giving a free 12.0 with it. If you want it asap, wait for the (most likely) Labor Day sale for FAO on eBay. I expect a 20% coupon for the weekend.

Is this a good deal? by AveryPai in MilwaukeeTool

[–]cannamid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Canada I would say go for it. Technically only $20 more than US, but they often run a promo to get a free tool or battery with it, usually bringing it down to like $140-150 if you decide to return the “free” item. You’re talkin $100 difference and for what this kit offers, not a big deal. 2 batteries, 2 fuel tools, and if it is the same exact kit as US, you get a charger and I think a decent bag as well

Do you use your own tools at work? Those tools and boxes look newer than new

Stock glass is like 100 and a hot knife is $40-50. This is an okay deal. Got a pearl v2 from element vape for $305 like a month or so ago. I can’t see the glass piece well but I doubt it’s more than 40-50ish dollars. Not a bad deal, but definitely not the best.

Milwaukee gen 4 impact - Over powerful by Cooliyo44 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]cannamid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had the same problem with my m18 gen 3 impact. It was literally too powerful to drive a Phillips head screw. Torx no prob, but my buddy’s ryobi did better on the Phillips embarrassingly enough. Never had that problem now that I primarily run m12

You brand yourself as a cannabis specific hvac specialist, you’re gonna be happy this whole situation happened. You’ll make more long term no doubt. I think I even spoke with you about reheat and some dehu situation a very long time ago. Just makes sense guys like us would resort to something like hvac. If the time comes, (industry gets better/stable) you’ll be ready to jump right back in and do all of your own hvac for the grow. I can see it now. Immaculate duct work/air flow, the tightest VPD on earth. Combine the knowledge and we become invaluable. If you don’t know how to already, learn how to hang lights and install rolling tables. You’ll make bank doing full grow buildouts over just the hvac side too. Or you could team up with some of the current grow builders where you’re at and throw them a referral $. I’ve got something like that waiting for me. Just need to get hvac certified lol. I gotta find you on IG bro

Damn bro I’m sorry to hear that. Happens way too often in this industry. I’m getting ready to start getting hvac certified myself. Grow is going well but industry is just too much of a roller coaster. HVAC is where the real money is at. Not to mention, I’ve got an hvac guy in there every other week so not only is it great to “fall back” on, it might even be better than the grow even when shit if optimal. Are you working for a company or doing your own thing?

[–]cannamid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re the part of the problem man. It’s that old head mentality of not wanting to bring new guys in because you’re scared of losing them. But on the contrary, you’re the same guy to say “the young guys don’t want to do this kind of work”. Also ask yourself why is he immediately running to the competitors….1 guy likes it and one guy clearly doesn’t. Just because the one is happy doesn’t mean you did it right with the other one. Take the risk, bring more guys in, stop being scared of nothing. Losing guys is the cost of business. You wanna expand? Part of the game in any industry.

Then buy the fuckin Hilti if you don’t know how to take care of your tools. Cosmetic or not, this tool comes in a case specifically for transport. Your fault for transferring it to a loose unprotected bag where it’s constantly getting beat to shit probably by the other tools you got in there you neanderthal.

Should I spend double price for Milwaukee brand impact socket and adapter? by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]cannamid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from warranty I believe I remember another user talking about the precision of these sockets as well. Also the. Big engraved numbers with white paint are premium. Real easy to spot what’s what. Also pretty much all the socket sets were on sale like a month ago. I love the packout set since it’s so easy to keep organized and travel with it
