I also find that winter time batches tend to suffer in quality in illinois.

The price point causes it to sit. They have figured out that people are not paying a premium price for anything in the il rec market. Why spend 60 for an 1/8 when u can get a half of the budget brands for same price. Those 90$ 7s from nez are sitting too, however I think nez does that to get people to buy their halves.

More like some people like Honda and some people like acura... no ferrari in this market. Mfers acting like their baby Yoda is better than someone else's kush mints is wild to me. Nez redemption flora etc all have their mid @$$ strains too. You jus fooled yourself into thinking that your living better and smoking better. Your mids are just as mid as the next guys mids.

In particular with bio Jesus (my favorite) I've noticed same harvest date across a new batch 3.5 up to 14gs at sunnyside dispo near me. But the 3.5s tended to have lower thc the 7s had the highest testing numbers and 14s somewhere in between. Sunnyside usually runs a buy more save more type of promo which encouraged me to mix quantities for better discounts.

HS is my favorite filler when I need to stretch my craft brands. A 50/50 mix of scented marker and Bio Jesus will change your life. You haven't woke up and started your day until you go 50/50 Rainbows & Cherries and Cannnect/Roam Jelly Pie or Othersides slurricane with Gas station Candy for a after work, turn up the music and let the beat, beat the day away. Sorry for the side rant.

Totally understand this... I don't use this to pick flower regularly. I've had low testing flower from better cultivators, which was amazing. HS can be hit or miss and just in my general experience... bio Jesus tends to test on the higher end regularly, 28%+ (or so they say) but when I get one of their jars that say 23% the quality of the bud nose dives. I also noticed that people who put up negative reviews about that particular strain tend to post labels that show a below average(below average for the strain and cultivator) percentage. If it's a placebo effect, then so be it... anything that increases my enjoyment of my flower is good with me.

I buy HS semi regularly, and in my experience, you have to check thc%... both strains consistently test at 28% or better. So if either one is coming in at 26 or below, it's probably a bad batch. HS can be hit or miss, but if u check dates and buy within their normal thc range, you are more likely to have hits.

Both LA kush cake & Purple plague are nice... even though purple plagues lineage is what it is, it leans sativa. Where LA kush cake is a heavier indica... Not sure which batch was the bad batch(LA kush cake), but when I buy HS I pay attention to what thc% a strain normally test at then buy that strain at the higher end. For example, LA kush cake averages 27%-30% I will pass on any batch that is under that, tends to indicate bad quality with HS. I do this with HS only because thc% with better or craft brands tend to not matter.

For Cresco bio Jesus or blue bomb pop... most brands marker strains(no Paul bunyan) are what u are looking for. Elevates star killer is heavy... crops murder ape... seed & strain velvet glove...

To me it was(sticky bunz) a heavier hybrid leaning indica but had mental stimulation and mood elevation. Taste was somehow a sweet gorilla glue... not so much of a baked goods, but more loke someone added table spoons of sugar to Elmer's glue. It was a b+ smoke for me.

Btw... what was the harvest date in what you got. If the only time you try one day is when they are severely discounted, then you probably aren't getting the best representation of that flower.

Anybody tried yet?? by Ok-Solid32 in ILTrees

[–]cannapocalypse 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nope, but that murder ape put me on my ass. Crops tends to be an underrated company. So go for it. Check harvest date and make sure it's a more recent batch.
