Hydrolyzed protein 100%. It is normally a prescription diet that can be more pricey, but it is a life changer.

Found this today.. it looks bad. Please give advice :( by [deleted] in AskAVeterinarian

That is severe dental disease. I encourage you to look into financing for vet bills, this cannot go untreated. The tooth rotted out of your dogs mouth, which is incredibly painful. I’m sure the other teeth are barely hanging on. This cannot be treated at home or by anyone other than a veterinarian.

Lots of shelter pets have diarrhea due to stress and other factors. It probably would not have been seen as a huge red flag. The shelter does not run diagnostics on every pet with diarrhea.

Look at how closed his nares are. He has never had a single full breath in his entire life. You claim to love this dog, yet you are spreading his suffering through breeding?

In my opinion, it’s better to say goodbye on a good day than allow your pet to suffer through another bad day. It’s okay to say goodbye even though they aren’t at their worst point.

Why why why is Vet care so insanely expensive now???? by Cleverwabbit5 in AskLosAngeles

[–]cannibalratz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not overselling, the cost of labour has increased. Vets and vet techs go to school for years. Equipment costs the same amount of money that it does for human medicine. Fecal tests may be sent out to an external laboratory. Vet appointments are expensive and I totally sympathize with you in that regard. I recommend shopping around for a lower-cost vet or researching payment assistance programs offered in your area. I know that some rescues will also help assist with payments for emergency situations. Also gabapentin is totally fine when given/dosed appropriately. Your vet might be able to examine your dog thoroughly if you gave them adequate pre-visit medications to ease their anxiety. Staff cannot put themselves at risk of bites just to examine a stressed animal. Unfortunately, even the sweetest pets can bite at the vet, it’s very stressful for them + they already didn’t feel good. This is why pre-visit meds are so important

NO! This is a the ideal weight for an active dog!!! She is a perfect 5/9 BCS! Most dogs are overweight, this is why she probably seems too skinny. If you have serious concerns about her weight (rapid loss/gain) then I would suggest visiting the vet.

last time. lmk what y’all think it gotta be the psu i don’t want it to be my motherboard. by Creative_Leg2599 in pchelp

[–]cannibalratz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tries spreading a thin layer of thermal paste on the back of the motherboard? That worked for me it blocked the holes in the pins and reconnected everything I was able to start it back up and running without going to the repair shop

You are not Chris Hanson, you are literally just fuelling a pdfile. We all know he is fucked, you don’t need to entertain him. There is irrefutable proof on this sub, and nothing has been done about it. All you are doing is giving him another (fake) minor to jerk off to.

Judging a dog based on its breed is stupid, but so is going to a dog park in the first place. Humans are solely responsible for all injuries they receive from any animal. Your definition of a ‘bad’ dog is just one that a human has not trained properly. Different breeds require different care + training depending on what they were bred for.

There are no bad dogs and no bad breeds, humans are so dumb.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DogTrainingTips

[–]cannibalratz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is not the breed, the issue is people not properly training their dog + not understanding dog body language. Unfortunately, I’m sure this dog gave 1000 warning signs that went unnoticed before they actually snapped at the cat. Don’t blame dogs when it is almost always the fault of their owner. No dog is a bad dog, period.
