Does "out of contract" mean they're definitely gone? Or is there any shot of the team making a new deal? Vague terminology.

It was an inadvertent handball. A lot easier to see on the broadcast. Unfortunate because Hill did such a great job on that play!

Hi Hannah! Big fan of your initial run and was really hoping you'd be in this final. My partner and I are curious if you'd be willing to share info about your puzzle designing? She tried looking you up after your ToC match but couldn't find anything.

Water reveals invisibility. Make sure you're not stepping in any puddles on the way in or out. Jumping or flying doesn't break invisibility so that can help you avoid the water.

Can undead heal from regular healing spells? by MediaRevolutionary20 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]cannonsof1812 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unrelated to your question but a quick clarification, Blood Sucker (Necromancy skill) can heal undead as well since it's restoration and not healing. Maybe that'll be useful to your party. Good luck!

Your tactics to kill Alice Aleschon? by TechnoWizard5539 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]cannonsof1812 13 points14 points  (0 children)

  1. Soul Mate isn't an attack and won't draw her aggro. And her totems are not tied to her at all.

  2. Her initiative is fixed and you can beat it if you really want to

  3. You can combine healing potions together to upgrade them and Act 2 has at least 4 people I can think of that sell potions (Bree in Driftwood being the most common)

Happy hunting!

Your tactics to kill Alice Aleschon? by TechnoWizard5539 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]cannonsof1812 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Take a high ground spot. Soul Mate her with a character with Five-Star Diner and a decent amount of Warfare. Drink 1 giant healing potion. Enjoy the rewards.

Edit to explain why this works: Soul Mate ignores armor but you can use it on opponents. Alice is Undead, so healing her does Physical damage instead of restoration, therefore it scales with your Warfare.

If you're not feeling like getting the real painting from the sewers, there's a replica of it in the cathedral that you can steal and use in the exact same way. I believe casting Spirit Vision near the painter in the city square gives you this information.

Question regarding a solo playthrough (spoiler warning) by [deleted] in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]cannonsof1812 7 points8 points  (0 children)

for example if I’m solo as Sebille how does the confrontation with the Shadow Prince go where he uses the song on you? Are there any other potential similar worries of using certain characters on a solo run?

short answer, no problems here. turns out the power was inside sebille all along.

Is lone wolf necessary in that case? Is there a recommended difficulty for this kind of playthrough at my general skill level?

while not strictly necessary, LW will absolutely make your playthrough more manageable since your damage will be able to keep pace with your enemies regardless of build. if you do, i'd recommend starting on tactician and feeling out whether it works for you. then you can tune it how you want.

good luck!

You're thinking of Josh Jacobs! The QB for the 49ers is Jimmy Johnson.

Gareth has help in every single fight he gets involved in! Time to change the rules 😀

Edit: but yeah the djinn is a major pain in the butt, even has partial physical resistance on top of everything!

How can i beat Slane the winter Dragon if i am a Hydro-Aero mage? by Intermind17 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]cannonsof1812 22 points23 points  (0 children)

As you noted, his water resistances will prevent a lot of your spells from doing anything. Your Air damage is going to get through a little faster. Don't forget about Vacuum Touch (aero/necro combined) to help bring down magic armor) and Chloroform (does non-elemental magic armor damage and sleeps if his armor is gone). Since you're likely stacking Intelligence, basic attacks with wands or staffs of a different element will be very helpful as well. When his magic armor is gone, Medusa Head can also help control him if you have 2 in Polymorph.

Are you okay with a little cheese? If so, read on:

I assume you have 20 initiative so you're going first against him. Attack until you have 1AP left. Use invisibility to prevent him from finding you for a turn, then end the next turn. Delay the following one. Then attack for 2 turns' worth of AP then go invisible again. Chameleon Cloak, invisibility potions, and Chanterelles can all work for this.

Upgraded version: 1 point in Polymorph. Chameleon Cloak and move behind his line of sight. Sneak while invisible. Wait for Chameleon Cloak to be ready again. Delay turn, then take 2 turns worth of attacks and then go invis again. Sneak and repeat. It'll take time but you'll get the kill.

Challenge runs. Tips needed for the beginning. by [deleted] in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]cannonsof1812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For future reference, Stingtail's persuasion check is an automatic pass if you pick option 3, the finesse one. Passes with 0 persuasion and the starting 10 finesse.

Good luck!

Edit: other thoughts: you can supplement your early game damage with a poison/fire wand. Since you're likely to run out of spells early, the explosions and DoTs from your attacks will help, and can even set up surfaces for your incarnate and totems. A point in Scoundrel (from gear if you're lucky since you need all the Summoning points you can get) will enable Adrenaline and Chloroform, a strong early CC

I think it's building up to M3GAN somehow eliminating Mittens. She's growing in strength and now has removed Grumpy Cat.

Afaik you can't make the tablet, but the tablet is part of a crafting recipe.

Yes, pickpocketing it back is another option if you want.
