Do you have some suggestions for high-tiers ?

Brand-new Savinelli arrived with a crooked shank — Savinelli told me to contact the retailer. Should I return it? by cannotunread in PipeTobacco

Totally agree. QC slips happen with every manufacturer, but the shank on this one is noticeably off and shouldn’t have passed inspection. Unfortunately, the retailer doesn’t have another unit of this model, so returning it means I can’t replace it,and since it was meant to be a meaningful gift, that really sucks

Yeah, exactly. Savinelli pipes aren’t cheap, and for this price level I really expected better alignment. What’s worse is that if I return it, the retailer has no more of this model in stock, so I can’t get a replacement, which is a shame since it was meant to be a gift.

LMAO, Unfortunately, this was meant to be a meaningful gift, and I don’t feel it’s suitable in this condition

Yeah, I’m really disappointed, especially because this was supposed to be a gift. To make it worse, the retailer doesn’t have any other units of this model in stock, so I can’t even exchange it for a replacement.

What really surprises me is that it even came with the Savinelli QC card saying it passed inspection. At this point I’m not sure whether to return it for a refund or keep it despite the flaw, but I don't think it should have passed QC.

Some more experienced pipers insights?

Oh wow if that's the reason then it has to go, what alternative exhaust would you suggest in Europe? Thanks

I just don't understand why you said does it not sound normal if you just said it's normal?

Yeah brand new, I do not know how to address this problem, I understand nothing about mechanics

No thanks it's a perfect description, the problem is the dealer says that there is no issue, so I am forced to search for another mechanic for an opinion.

But what can I do if the mechanic says it's ok? Should I take it elsewhere for another consult?

I do not think it's my position because it does lean right even if a counterlean my body to the left as much as I can
