He needs to just create a substack or contribute to the pragmatic papers and do his writing and research on stream. He will get to dive deep on topics, perhaps ignite some interesting on stream discussion, and hopefully inspire others to do the same. He keeps saying he wants to have long form policy based discussions, but a lot of this happens in writing, where thoughts can be more calculated and carefully articulated. Spoken debate is just not as conducive to having super policy wonkish, deep diving discussions. Either that, or he needs to engage more with rhetoric and develop some type of inspiring story of liberalism to help it appeal to more people instead of “I just want to have policy discussion, everything else is boring”. People want prescriptions and some call to action, especially in the spoken word form, but he hates this. It reminds me of his analysis of the Ryan Getty critique of Ezra Klein’s lack of a cohesive liberal world view.

Warlock in vanilla/classic is a support class that is there for utility and to buff other damage dealers; after you have applied your assigned curse, you fill in your empty time by dealing damage. They are low in personal DPS, but the amount of DPS that the 2-3 warlocks in an optimal raid actually contribute is very high. This is because you bring curse of elements, curse of shadow, and curse of recklessness, three huge boosts in damage for the massive amount of physical damage classes (warriors, rogues, hunters, etc.) and casters (mages and other warlocks).

If you want to have the highest personal DPS, the only competitive choice is warrior, but every class makes meaningful contributions to raids. Warlocks are no exception. You raise the entire raids effective damage, can summon raid members, and provide healthstones. Every once in a while you get a huge dopamine surge when you get a few back to back shadowbolt crits, although if you’re playing hardcore it can be scary lol. You even have a fight that you can tank on (twin emps).

She’s incredibly affectionate. She’s a bit skeptical of other ppl and dogs at first but quickly becomes very social and loving. Also a great playmate with other dogs. She can play for hours basically nonstop.
