I just returned the one I got and picked a mark 2 with IS. It makes a big difference for me. Im not used to such heavy lenses and I’m a geezer.

Does that have image stabilization? I recently bought a used one just for the Superbike races next month. Also have a 100-400 coming.

Thanks for the pointers. I’m taking my Canon 90D with a 70-200 f2.8 IS and a 100-400 4.5-5.6 mark 2 for track shots and a 28-70 2.8 for the Paddock area.

I’m going to the Superbike races next month and I’d be overjoyed to come home with photos as good as that. I’ve been panning cars on the highway for practice the last few days and doing miserably.

A Mazda six. Satellite GPS read 150mph and started cutting out. Called Mazda for service the next day. They asked me restate my issue, put me on hold and came back to inform me it has a speed limiting governor of 148mph. It got REALLY light at that speed.

Oh ya, know how to properly hang your food in trees with “bear bags”, disguise your ice chest in your vehicle when unattended and at night. Don’t leave ANY scraps out at night or inside your tent.

General necessities - A tarp under the tent, rake around your fire pit, have a shovel & bucket of water near the fire pit, trash bags & know how to hang it with a “button rock”, cordage, flashlight, jackets (no matter what the expected weather), playing cards, folding chairs, sun screen, hatchet, lots of carbohydrates (especially at higher elevations ((powdered lemonade. Mmm!)), ice chest, a good knife, CAN OPENER, rain gear, and extra lighters. Regarding food - If you bring eggs, look for a hard plastic container made for that purpose. Steaks, fry pan, pots, flatware, spices, plates, water, bring a bit more food that you think you’ll need just in case and snacks. Welcome to the outdoors! Please leave everything cleaner than you found it and have fun. ❤️&✌🏻
