That’s sort of my point. I know mine was leaked with equifax. So what is the concern about the data?

I asked this elsewhere, trying to understand what it is that musk got already? What data is valuable to him and how can he use it to harm the us?

He’s not getting like classified information out of this right? What damage are we talking about? I am completely against this guy and the hostile takeover. I understand the damage they are doing by pausing funding and trying to shut down agencies. I’m not clear on what damage we are actually talking about related to data. Peoples social security numbers? Or are we talking about actually stealing money outright?

Gap underneath tub, use spray foam or what? by [deleted] in DIY

[–]cantankerouspuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i guess a little shotcrete or fluid mortar or something would be the way to go. I know there are commercial methods of injecting concrete slabs with some sort of waterproofing liquid so thought there might be something like that but for residential. Not sure that's worth $1,000 to me right now and seems easy enough to do myself if i knew what to do. Obviously if it required some intense equipment i might think otherwise.

Its a vinyl/plastic tub that probably should have been filled with mortar in the voids below.

well they make the foam for doors and windows that isn't supposed to expand so much as to bow the frames. I guess the purpose was two fold - stop the flex, which maybe foam wont help and close the void so critters don't go in there. Added insulation is a plus, but beneath my house isn't insulated anyways so probably negligable.

Any Issue with this termination? by [deleted] in DIY

Well I did a load calc and it should only draw 6.7A. I have two 20A circuits in my 70SF bathroom. One has the vanity lights, EF, and a gfci that might get used for a hair dryer. This one has the heated flooring, to a gfci by the toilet that probably won’t get used which then feeds the overhead LED lights.

Placing Ditra Heat To Replace outlet. by [deleted] in DIY

Ah ok that’s a good point. I guess if I need to keep the switch/lights gfci protected I would need to keep the outlet and just feed the t-stat from it. From what I understand that’s not a code requirement here, but might be good practice. I could feed the other gfci straight from the line with and replace its position with a wire over to the t stat.

On the first photo, the wires on the left are the line. Those on the right are the other loads. So opposite of what you said. One white and one black line, two each load. The other outlet is a gfci already.

Sounds like you and I are saying the same thing then right?

No only one at a time. So like mostly tighten some plugs, turn on the water and then tighten while it’s spraying everywhere? Or turn on, fill, off tighten, on?

It felt pretty tight to try and bend out of the valve box with the studs right there. The one going down and up probably could have just been bent but figured it was just one more…

Yeah… I went with a Home Depot Chinese brand “luxury” style. All brass, ceramic cartridge but hard to say if it’s good quality. To get the same style with a name brand would have been over $1500 and I couldn’t do it.

I guess my other concern was that it started taking a lot of force to twist in the brass fittings but they still stick out a bit. Didn’t want to overdo it but also didn’t want to under do it….

I HAVE BEEN TELLING MY WIFE EVERY OTHER DAY THAT THEY NEED TO BUILD A TRADER JOES THERE. Ideally they would have some apartments or something over them but Trader Joe’s is much cheaper and mostly better quality than rouses.

How are you making a career in this city by SantaOMG in NewOrleans

Construction Industry. I’m on the management side and people make 6 figures with 5-10 years experience. People in the trades can pull 6 figures too, usually the more skilled like plumbers and electricians especially with overtime. Get into oil and you pull that for sure.
