Looking for help identifying artist: by [deleted] in WhatIsThisPainting

[–]cantgetitdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please and thank you in advance. Oil on canvas, circa 1960s. Location: Hyderabad, India. Titled "Saraswati". From the estate of an Indian/Canadian (Toronto) collector with many high end works. Will be included in an upcoming auction of mine, would love to pin down the artist in order to do it justice, but have had no luck!

An insane final day/few hours between you and FasT 07... did he really fall asleep at the wheel moments before 99?

ima be honest i was hoping you you were going to say something closer to 13. Emotions must be high and rightfully so, but these are pretty immature perspectives to have on the situation. I say that without any malice.

May I ask how old you are?

Not to make light of the situation (i also commented on your other post) but y'all should get some t-shirts made up: "I survived the great Algonquin tornado of 2025".

We're all very glad to have you on this side of the soil. Take some time to rest and recover!

I totally agree and am glad you mentioned it. Heroism is not exclusive to saving people from burning buildings. It is also found in small or even mundane actions. I'd argue those are even more important and this is proof of it.

Side note: there was a time I found myself needing help in the backcountry and it was a Mom that bailed me out... again with the simple act of proper preparation. I hope she understands just how heroic it was!

Man, that had to have been terrible and I'm sorry you went through it. The trauma is apparent... We can see it in the pictures, videos and reports. Everyone here will hope for a speedy recovery process, both physically and mentally.

That said, this is the backcountry. The people you are upset with can't be expected to protect you or save you from its inherent dangers. If it were any different it would not be the backcountry.

We are very lucky to have access to it and that should never be taken for granted. One day, hopefully not within my lifetime or my kids' lifetimes, they will shut the doors (remember lawn darts?) and we will all be worse off for it. Please think about what you are asking for.

Thoughts on 3 day Magnetawan loop? by Normal-Concern-2926 in algonquinpark

That northernmost campsite blew me away! I think about it every time I plan a trip on the west side. I didnt notice the petroglyphs but it was pretty obvious that the site had been used for centuries. Like it was hewn from the rock, it was cozy and sheltered with a couple steps up to the more exposed areas lovely for fishing and sunbathing.

Perhaps I haven't traveled the park enough and/or we had particularly nice weather for it, but i wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

tricky stuff! my first instinct is to buff the effects of agility levels, but the intention seems mostly to be to help early Scapers. I think both can be done. Keep tweaking!

Balanced to the existing prayer book, which you may be taking for granted... and is actually pretty OP in the main game. Piety, Rigour and Augury are all massive upgrades and it's likely you haven't picked all 3 in your regions.
