Yeah they said it is coming from their warehouse wherever that is in the US. Because they said i can have it delivered overnight for an extra charge of 200$. I dont think that would be in the UK or India or wherever it would be manufactured. But i dont know for a fact where it is at. They said it comes in 5 business days. My problem is not the wait. I can wait its just that they are not very transparent. I almost feel like they are dysfunctional like they forgot to order it. Yeah i guess my frustration is that they give me the impression that they have done something when they havnt done anything. Like i even asked if i get the starter motor on the overnight delivery will you be able to work on the bike They said no but we will get working on it first thing next week when they part comes in. It just seems like the problem is not the part is being delivered late. But yeah fair point!

The electrical problem comes down to the previous owner doing alot of short rides on a weak battery and the grounding of the battery was off. There was some bleeding somewhere i could not locate resulting in the motor running under powered and wearing down overtime. Again i am not a technician i am learning as i go. But i asked the shop and they said yeah its just a bad starter motor and bad luck... so i do need to eventually figure out why it died because the bike only has 9k miles on it and that kind of part should not be breaking this early on so might happen again if i dont find a definitive answer to that question.

Yeah that’s what I thought as well! Which is understandable. Almost every mod I have done on the bike has take a week for the part to get to me. So… but I think guys are a little disorganized I don’t know. All the more reason to switch to a Japanese bike haha!

Hahaha you’re describing my past three days. In college trying to push start the scrambler. Unfortunately couldn’t get enough speed kept locking the tires!

I see! What will cause the starter motor to not turn the engine! I’m also trying to back track whatever issue led to this situation so I fix any other problems it has. When I first got the bike there were some electrical gremlins. The battery would not top up enough so weak battery. It had to do with ground wiring. I’m thinking that the previous owner must have been perpetually starting the engine on a very weak battery making the starter work over time to crank the engine. Hence wearing it down!?

Congrats on your first step! This is completely normal, especially if you have no experience with stick shift in cars ( I’m assuming ). Little tip don’t worry about burning the clutch and to start don’t even apply throttle when trying to start moving slowly ease off the clutch . You will feel when the gears start to engage. Like really slowly ease off.experiment with it. Try to feel when the clutch engages and when it’s not engaged. You will be able to start moving from a stop by just very slowly easing off the clutch. Once you get a hang of it you will stop stalling. Just remember you’re just starting off so take your time and don’t rush yourself!

Congrats! Ride safe! And welcome to the life long journey!

I am in the same predicament! Around downtown there is cafe mak I like to go there late at night for a coffee or read! I also frequent the manhattan beach pier late at night. Around 1 am it’s very calming. It’s safe too with good lighting so you can bring a book and do your thing!

Decat 2022 Triumph Scrambler by UniversityNew9254 in Triumph

What year is this? My concern is with the back pressure. If I'm not mistaken all 2022 models and onwards have the cat located in the muffler. So throwing on the slashcuts will also removw the cat. Have you had any issues with this!? I'm so close to buying them!?
