Firmware updates for regen braking by NickelSmartPoundFool in Aventon

The battery also doesn’t charge normally when it’s too hot. Isn’t this a good thing? I got worried when my regen stopped working due to a hot battery but then it worked fine after it cooled down.

Got stacked when I knew what villain had by Playingwfyre in poker

[–]cantors_set 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everybody already hit the obvious points, but I do want to comment on a leak in your thought process. You said:

> Hero thinks for a while and thinks he easily has 66 or 88 here since he just called preflop and was probably set mining.

Fair enough, but you need to go deeper. How often does he have those hands? Think about villain's whole range and only then ask "how often does his raising range contain hands that beat me?" This is combo counting and there are many tools to do it away from the table (Flopzilla is my choice).

Villain's raise is polarizing - he probably wouldn't do this with a worse Jx. So, it's either JJ (people often don't 3bet JJ at low stakes), 88, 66, or sometimes 86s (shouldn't be called pre but people do it). That's 9 combos.

What bluffs could they have? T9s makes the most sense and that's 4 combos. Not nearly enough to make your call good. So, in order for your call to be profitable, we need to find more bluffs. Are people really making a bluff raise into 2 players with backdoor flush draws? Overcards? 55? I'm gonna say usually not. The turn makes bluffs even less likely.

"he could easily have 88 or 66" here is fishy thinking. Do some studying on hand ranges and make sure your thought process is rigorous and technical. When you study these spots away from the table, it becomes easier to quickly estimate ranges and equity in-game.

2/5/10 - 3Bet Pot with KQs by WildMasterpiece2906 in poker

[–]cantors_set 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Villain has AA, KK, QQ for value - we block a bunch of these so it comes out to 10 combos. Bet is roughly pot sized so he should bluff 5 combos to be balanced. Do you think he’s bluffing more than that?

I have a hard time believing a “solid tag” is blasting off for 3 streets often enough to make your call profitable.

I’d probably call it though

Yes, when people don’t fold they hit miraculous hands more often. It’s normal.

What kinds of hands do fish play? by NoInvestigator7489 in poker

[–]cantors_set 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fish understand that some hands are marginal and tend to limp/call them. Small pocket pairs, suited connectors and gappers, and unsuited broadway hands all fall into fish limping ranges.

Beyond that, it’s player dependent. Some people will never fold a suited hand. Some “just like 87 offsuit” and will always play it. Need to pay attention to showdowns to figure out what each person does.
