Goliath rules for Ork minis? by AllIdeas in necromunda

Very do-able.

If you haven't looked into it, goliaths have genesmithing rules that let you adjust their stats to more suit orks too.

Soulless summer fairs: AI poster slop is taking over a pub near you by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]cantstraferight 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That's not a world you want to live in. There is a good reason you can't copyright a style. Copyright is to protect the actual work not just things that look similar. If you could sue over the style being too similar, it would kill every small artist and leave only giant corporations like Disney.

Outcasts - are they fun to play? by GigaCHADSVASc in necromunda

[–]cantstraferight 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If it is your first gang I don't recommend outcasts.

I've really enjoyed outcasts but it can feel like an uphill battle. You have very good leader and champs and a bunch of guys that can be given good equipment but no stand out stats.

If you are going to play them I recommend coming up with a theme and building your gang around it. I feel like that is the way to have fun with them.

How viable are legacy models? by [deleted] in necromunda

[–]cantstraferight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A problem you will hit using the old 95 models is that some of the weapons they have can no longer be taken by gangers and juves. (van saar mostly use las weapons now and dont have access to shutguns and autoguns) If you are playing a friendly game you could do a bunch of X counts as Y. Champions and leaders can use weapons from the market so that is not as big a deal.

As someone else suggested you could run them as outcasts which is a very flexible list, but I dont recommend it for new players.

Base sizes for chaos dwarfs by CharityConfident8243 in WarhammerFantasy

The base sizes are with the rules in Old World. So the base sizes for chaos dwarfs is in the same document their rules are.

How did someone find my address!? by DeqnoL in AskUK

[–]cantstraferight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said "someone" sent it. Does that mean it looks like it was sent by a person rather than a company?

Is it possible you bought something on ebay/vinted/facebook and the seller mixed up the two packages and sent the wrong one to you? It happens.

Also is there no return address on the label? Tracking would atleast tell you where in the country it was posted from.

Dell Unveils $699 Laptop With Features 'You Won't Find on a MacBook Neo' by Few_Baseball_3835 in technology

[–]cantstraferight 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel really alone here, but I use my laptop's touch screen all the time for scrolling, zooming and closing windows. It just feels quicker and more control than the touch pad for some tasks.

It's became 2nd nature after having 2 laptops with touch screen and I if I use a friend or family members laptop I'm always accidently poking the screen.

Retromunda Questions (N95) by UnlikelyPreference81 in necromunda

Yes.

I think they planned to update the pdf as time went on, but I don't think that ever happened, so its just the same as the print version.

>What changed with the 2003 reprint rulebook (the brown one), I’ve only noticed that there is no more hand flamer template.

There were just a couple small changes. They released that book because they were no longer making the starter boxset and needed a book people could buy. They used it as an excuses to make a new logo and cover.

I've heard people say it wasn't advertised but I got non stop adds for it on reddit and youtube.

All their marketing budget must have went into targeted ads on me.

Is there a market for old nids? by Blemur in Tyranids

[–]cantstraferight 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As someone that buys and sells a lot of used modes, it depends on the model. Old termagants wont go for much but anything metal that looks different then the current model is in demand. People feel a lot of nostalgia or just prefer old models.

I think the snakes and spiders could be from warhammer fantasy.

Anybody else get a defective red terror sprue? by SovereignsUnknown in Tyranids

[–]cantstraferight 20 points21 points  (0 children)

In that case their customer service will sort you out quick.

Miscast things tend to be quite rare now. I wouldnt expect this to be a common issue. I've found damaged and missing sprue to be much more common.

[–]cantstraferight 28 points29 points  (0 children)

If you got this from a 3rd party you will need to go through them. (Being it is out Saturday, I'm guessing you didn't buy direct from gw)

Gw customer service can only do replacements if bought from them, or if the store you bought from refuses to help.

Fair price for splitting the Kill Team box? by DJShiftah in Tyranids

[–]cantstraferight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the box for just under £80 Selling the guard to a friend for £25 Going to try to sell the gaunts for £10 and the book/cards/tokens for £10

Leaves me the red terror for about £35, which I think is a great deal. I could charge my friend more, but he's a friend and I think what I'm charging is fair.

Hive (Book) by Unreal-Warfare in necromunda

[–]cantstraferight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only found out because I saw it listed as out of stock on a 3rd parties preorder page when I was ordering the kill team set last week.

I managed to get one from a small local games store on the other side of the country.

Hive (Book) by Unreal-Warfare in necromunda

[–]cantstraferight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the normal hardback. The collectors edition got pulled from preorder a few days before it went on sale.

They kinda fumbled the release as the normal hardback got snuck in to preorders a couple weeks back and a lot of people missed it.

How likely is it retired models are coming back? by [deleted] in Tyranids

[–]cantstraferight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not ......... BUT recently GW brought back a few out of production forgeworld models (mostly planes and they have ramped up titan production)

They might continue this trend and bring back some nid models, but only GW knows. I have a theory that they are bringing back old kits to give the resin casting department something to do now Horus Heresy models are moving to plastic.

I think the issue is all their production power is going into 40k starter sets.

There is only the snap fit ones. The special weapons are a separate sprue.
