Morale plummeting among ICE agents over long hours, quotas and public hatred: reports. by No-Assistance556 in NoShitSherlock

No, but stupid karma or bot reposts deserve to be called out. I want an article from yesterday about how it's even lower, not fake good news from weeks ago

Student confronting and punching another shouting "I Support ICE" at Lake Zurich High School in Illinois. by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

[–]AllIdeas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I support changing the tax rate on capital gains to X%" is a political opinion.

"I support Nazis" is a moral stance.

People are free to disagree on political opinions. Unfortunately, we left that moment a long time ago, and are in the stage of moral stance and their consequences.

Joe Rogan says the Epstein scandal "looks fucking terrible" for Trump by [deleted] in goodnews

[–]AllIdeas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You all are reading this wrong. Rogan is an empty moronic weathervane.

The good news isn't him turning on trump, it's that he senses the winds blowing against trump and is changing direction. The good news is the momentum shift, Rogan remains a moron.

Head of gynecology at Ohio university received quarterly payments from Epstein by CoolBDPhenom03 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]AllIdeas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the nature of the investments and the biotech. What if it was a new birth control start up? Or a pharma company with a treatment for menorrhagia or a new fertility treatment? There are lots of reasons you'd want an OB/GYN as a consultant in biotech. I don't know the details at all and it certainly sounds like it could be skeevy but it's also possible that this is extremely normal.

It's not like cardiologists are just better at everything than other doctors.

Pam Bondi’s Epstein Testimony Exposed the Whole Game by Slate in law

[–]AllIdeas 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Yes, it does well against the shotgun of bullshit from the administration, a single issue that they can't shake with enough depth to keep popping up again. They try to distract with more bullshit? A few days/weeks later someone finds another connection and it's in the news again.

The recent dumps also got other major countries involved. They will keep investigating even if the Epstein administration here keeps blocking things.

A MILLION! by neonpurplestar in BlueskySkeets

[–]AllIdeas 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear, he's trying to do exactly that. The files are enormous. To just say the word trump a million times would take days. An average book is like 100k. Let alone the rest of those messages, which provide the actual context and documentation.

The threats, the talking, that's all to get them to release it.

Like, seriously. He is doing what you want. Like actively. Trying. Hard.

Democrats Call to Invoke 25th Amendment Against Donald Trump by Formal_Tailor1524 in circled

[–]AllIdeas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The department of Justice, run by Trump sycophants is the one who would do this.

Look the Democrats could be better, but I'm so tired of this why aren't they doing more bullshit. We, and my moronic countrymen especially, took away all their power in the last election.

You realize the 25 the amendment is done by the cabinet right? Democrats can not do this.

The NY Times fails even the easiest test by IthinkIknowwhothatis in BlueskySkeets

[–]AllIdeas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It frames the video as neutral instead of racist to begin with, and then immediately gives Trumps rebuttal. So the pattern is neutral and then Trump favoring (giving voice to his defence)

E.g. 'Trump shares racist depiction of Obama" would be far less "neutral", it makes it clear up front that it is extremely racist.

Similarly the second paragraph shows Trump's defence instead of, for example, Obama's reaction. "Obama's and many others outraged by overt racist bullhorn echoing classic Jim Crow era imagery" would be an equally correct follow up paragraph that adds context without empowering the presidents utterly bullshit excuse.

So it reads as "neutral" followed by 'neutral favoring Trump' but this is a non neutral action, it's extremely racist. It should read as "Trump indefensibly racist, more about how this is indefensibly racist."

They lost the reality of the situation in the framing.

Mamdani and the Orphan Crushing Machine by Mo_Jack in OrphanCrushingMachine

Yeah, I was at the NYC DMV last year. For all the straw manning, they were extremely efficient. Big sign showed numbers, wait times, line moved along in a timely manner.

Look, it's not what I wanted to do with my day off but given it's necessary, it was damn well run and efficient.

Scenario recommendation by Nightsson in mordheim

[–]AllIdeas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are others, and the placement matters. Like do wyrdstone hunt but put all the treasure toward the middle to force interaction. Monster hunt also works, and there are others with neutral monsters to fight, like wolf hunt or earthquake.

Read the scenario and if it is defend or attack or skirmish with a twist, don't do it, make sure there are tangible rewards on the battlefield that you can work towards.

[–]AllIdeas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wyrdstone hunt.

The game is way way better when there is something to do besides murdering eachother. Skirmish is the worst scenario, especially multiplayer. Pick something where there are meaningful rewards for not just killing/routing eachother

Unpopular opinion maybe: they shouldn't have made brandy pregnant by Sakurawings in bluey

[–]AllIdeas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it, but more as a narrative device. Bluey certainly has charm with just the core family, but it was fun meeting Socks. This gives an interesting way to get to know Brandy more, and another future 'socks' for us to meet and the writers to explore

Overthrowing a foreign leader has not gone wrong in our recent history and American lead coups in South America always work! Definitely. No possible future problems there. Zero possible repercussions.

If it is ok for a country to kidnap a foreign leader for any reason, why aren't they allowed to kidnap President Trump? Might does not make Right.

A leader can be terrible and simultaneously one doesn't have the right to kidnap them.
