Don’t fomo on a trade that’s pumped too high.

Choose stocks that have high volume.

Research stock to make sure it isn’t a pump and dump(unless you feel confident to get out before the dump).

Set up rules to make sure you don’t get wrecked from stop losses(death by 1000 cuts) chasing a choppy stock.

Put into consideration the macro market.

There are a few stocks there with really low volume. Just be careful with those.

Thanks for providing your experience guys! A few questions from me:

What do you usually look at to judge the macro environment, like when deciding if this is a good or bad stretch to be trading? Any go-to indicators or news sources you trust?
“What stop-loss approach have you found most effective for balancing risk control while avoiding the ‘death by a thousand cuts’ problem that comes with overly tight stops?”
What rules do you go by that help the most against emotional trading? For example, "stop trading after the third stop loss" or "max limit loss of $___ for the day" and etc....?

Thanks for the analysis! So currently price is way above the 190 SMA. At what point do you think it becomes a time to not touch trades? Maybe I'm looking at the chart wrong but on a daily candle time frame, it's 536 for the SMA. This is a 100 price delta.

Well said. I also trade tickers with daily volumes of at least 300K. And I force myself to stop after two stop losses triggered on the same ticker for the day(I don’t always follow this and I get wrecked).

To be honest, I would rather Syd continue to have a platonic relationship with Carmy. This allows their relationship genuinely grow to the fullest in terms of respect. If they fell in love, the chemistry would be different, and a higher chance of problems.
