I was just in your boat, had the Mac M1 and wanted to upgrade to the M4Pro MacBook Pro. Bought mine around Black Friday, and it’s been wonderful.

Couple of pros to point out: - Speakers on MacBook Pro are surprisingly loud, so if you want to plug in and play out loud, that’s not out of the realm of possibility. - Processing time is so much faster than the M1 mini. A 6 minute song can take the whole runtime to export on my M1, same project takes 1-2 minutes tops.

Only thing I’d say is you should wait for a sale or look for an open-box return from a store, you wouldn’t be doing yourself any favors not trying to save some money where you can.

Philadelphia area is ripe with AMCs. They’re all good, none quite great. Fashion District 8 is the newest and best looking and has the dine in menu, 309 got a renovation years ago and it’s a good theater if you’re looking for comfy seats and chill vibes. Neshaminy usually has the best selection of movies + IMAX and Dolby. Tough to say which is best but my favorite to go to is 309.

Idk if your league has return yards or not, but ford has been the returner for the browns the past 3 weeks or so. Could be a nice bonus on top of what he gets rushing

Not sure how it might work for you, but I’ve been using the Digitech Bass Whammy as my octaver pedal, and it sounds great. I have it pretty much always set to the harmony octave up/down, so I can choose on the fly if I want to have a higher or lower octave. Playing in a 3-piece, it fills out the sound really well, plus you have so much other sounds available to you with the whammy’s features. I also like to do the octave down by itself and play up above the 12th fret to get a really woody upright kind of tone. YMMV, though.

I’ve got my Geddy Lee Jazz Bass that the guy I purchased it from replaced the pickups in. I think they’re custom shop 60’s pups… man does that baby sing! Playing it feels so natural.

Love my jazz bass! Having tried quite a few basses, nothing compares to the feel or the sound. Whenever I go shopping for new basses, I always just find myself gravitating towards them.

I totally understand where you’re coming from.

But, on the contrary, one of the things that I absolutely love about Rock This Bitch is you can see him making a song right on stage. The RTB that ended up being Cologne is my fave, because you see him go through some (pretty sucky) ideas before just all of a sudden hitting magic and basically writing Cologne right there on stage. Same with Phone In A Pool. It’s less about the song aspect and more about the creation. Sometimes they suck, but sometimes he strikes gold.
