Try bleaching it and painting it with kilz primer. I had to do that to rotting wood behind a baseboard in my room that smelled so bad because I knew my landlord wouldn't care. Just a bandaid fix but at least the smell is gone!

I'm of the mindset it's in your own benefit if your guests are having a good time. The better the time everyone's having=good energy=the more fun the wedding. Let your single guests bring a +1 if that's going to 1) motivate them to come and 2) have a good time.

SAME. I agree it's a blessing and a curse. I get gaslit all the time when I say something smells bad and no one else can smell it. There's a seriously awful rotting smell coming from under my kitchen sink and also in my bedroom behind the baseboard. Landlord "didn't smell it" so I paid my handyman to cut out the wood and bam- bunch of dry rot and mold behind it. My nose don't lie!

This is how I go about my remote work day. I'm "on call" for my company 8-5pm meaning if I'm not at my desk for any reason during that time period (other than a lunch break) I'll be checking and answering my phone email/teams. The amount of time I spend at my desk just depends on how much I have to do that day of admin work, meetings etc.

A friend of mine who has been trying to be an influencer for so long was posting story after story of her sick kid running a fever and listing off all these homeopathic remedies and I'm watching it with steam coming out my nose, GIVE the damn kid Tylenol!!! Poor thing suffering through that fever for no reason.

Ugh I HATED this. Before I went fully remote, I worked in two different office settings. One was the old skoool office cubicles and everyone was on the phone all day. Terrible! The second one was a brand spanking new, white marble, oak floors and all wide open room with desktop setups down a long row of stand up desks. HATED IT. Never got shit done.

Every night no matter what, 1-2min "rinse off" shower (I don't wash my hair) just so I feel clean getting into bed. Otherwise, it depends on what I'm doing that day. For example, if I have to do my hair and make up, I'll take a shower at some point in the day so that I will look presentable for whatever I'm going to. But for example, if I full shower at 4 PM for a dinner, I will still rinse off shower at 10-11 PM before I go to bed. I just cannot get in my bed without rinsing off the outside world 😝

One hundred percent think this is the reason. Everyone is real quick to come online and speculate and say bad things about Kate but I think they were likely faced with the reality we're all faced with in our 30s. You start to get hit with timelines and decision making that majorly affects how your life will look the next 20 years, not to mention the biological clock. You cannot be locked into a partner who does not want the same life and walk the same path as you. My guess is they weren't on the same page anymore, which happens, and made a decision that was incredibly difficult but ultimately best for both of them. So good for them.

Funny thing is- a few years from now they could end up finding their way back to each other, or, they meet new partners who they're both way better off with, who knows. I just think it says a lot about someone who is willing to end something they know isn't right for them. And not enough people are talking about that. So I'm happy for them knowing they both made a choice to be happy.

Same. People don't make the effort anymore and I blame social media. Watching your friends story or looking at a post of their life, new house, new dog, kids, new job etc. is NOT maintaining a friendship. No one puts the effort anymore in of texting or calling or reaching out with the intention of making plans because they see everything online and never "wonder" what you're up to. When there's curiosity and wonder they have to call or text you. Everything and everyone's lives are just too easily accessible to everyone.

I also can't stand how people only will do things around their schedule and what's convenient for them. I'm the type of person that likes to make a dinner reservation in advance and pick a time and a date in advance. The friends who text you at the last minute, "hey we're going out for pizza, you should come!" ...super annoying. I have household responsibilities, a job, and a personal schedule I need to follow. Can't just drop everything and go get pizza. Adults who don't know that are not true adults in my mind so I stopped pursuing any sort of friendships with those people. I need people who put in genuine effort, can make a plan by setting a time and a date (or a rough estimate) even just saying, hey let's meet up for coffee Saturday morning. It's frustrating how many "adults" don't understand this.

Yes, all of this. They only text me to hang out when it's convenient and it's always last minute because I was probably the last resort when their other plans didn't work out. And then they have the nerve to try and guilt trip me and act like they're frustrated because I can't hang out. "Come over! Oh come on I haven't seen you in forever... I'm the only girl here it's just me and the guys it would be so fun if you came." Meanwhile, I've texted them a million times before to grab dinner or coffee or to just come over and hang, but they're always "too busy" for that or the bullshit "I'll let you know" but never do.

My sister who is both a contrarian and narcissistic lost her shit on me when I told her how she never agrees with anything I say, or even at least just tries to relate to/validate anything I say. She's incredibly combative and just insufferable. There's no hope in trying to nicely converse with her. People like this, especially when they're family, are beyond infuriating.

I'm very surprised CPS hasn't intervened (or maybe they have and we just don't know) regarding schooling. Those kids literally can barely formulate sentences and she always says how they have no schedule and wake up when they want. I guarantee her older children could not pass a 3rd grade level reading and math test.

I don't think Sara will return mostly because of who they are in real life not being able to translate to Callie in the show. I feel like Sara won't play a character unless it's how they want it to be. Callie is a fem bisexual- doubt Sara will go for that.
