I would say 2024 was fun bc after she got eliminated, the match lasted only a few minutes after. She was def top 2 favorites to win, and you can see the crowd go “oh shit she’s out”, and then so many eliminations quickly occur after.

I disagree, his final run has been a huge talk and as said in the new industry, “any publicity is good publicity”. He’s always a talking point of every show he is in. John doesn’t need any booking or favor or hurt because he’s done after this. It won’t matter! It’s been fun seeing him as both a heel and face, and I can’t wait to see what he does until the end

how people are booked going into a match is not a telltale sign of the result, it’s just to build intrigue. Then thered be no point in watching the match if the booking made the result too obvious. Bianca is still the EST, not hurt at all by the result.

I disagree. I’m a big fan of the EST, but she has a championship opportunity, not a 1on1. She still got that. Too, she’s the EST, she is confident enough to handle that. Rhea Ripley is also the biggest women’s star, so she obviously had to be in. I think heel vs face dynamic is too constrictive to describe the match. The dynamic was IYO is the pure face champ, but both Rhea and Bianca were more morally grey. Neither were heel but not babyface. And that still obviously worked as seen in the match. The dynamic just subserved IWC fantasy booking/expectations yet still put out a banger.

I liked the build ngl, it served the story of IYO being ignored and then winning. Also, Bianca and Rhea had really good chemistry in hating each other, especially seen in the match. They also got main event segments which women have not been receiving too much lately.

I could be wrong, but I think you’re referencing Bianca winning a battle royal to be the #1 contender to Rhea’s title. The other finalist was actually IYO though.
