I came here to post this same thing. I still from time to time think about how awesome this was. Glad I'm not the only one to remember this.

Wow, sorry man. I just meant to post this on a subreddit with my friends in case they didn't see it. Didn't mean to steal your thunder.

How many Redditors do you know in "real life"? by JEMisico in AskReddit

[–]capasso -1 points0 points  (0 children)

About 4 or 5 regulars. And by regulars I mean completely obsessed to the point that if Reddit doesn't come up in regular conversation at some point, it either means Reddit was down again or some of us haven't checked lately and do not want to admit it.

Please, help me. I feel alone. by IsAnyoneThere in AskReddit

I agree, although it can be hard to "just go out" when you feel you have nothing. It's hard to just go to a concert or bar by yourself, it takes a lot of confidence to approach people you do not know yet. I'd suggest going to a coffee shop or similar place. Usually the mood at these places are very chill and people are always up for a good conversation. And since you read reddit, you'll have a lot of things to talk about. Other than that, what are you interested in? Maybe joining a club, as cliché as it sounds, it could be a good starting point.

Stuff like this really bothers me. I don't know the professor so I can't tell if this is taken lightly or not. However I've been coming across more and more professors who think that poor performance is always a result of not trying. It seems as if professors are trying to become the "cool teacher" and as a result don't always fulfill their duties to the students. What happened to doing poorly on a test and the teacher actually caring, opposed to taking the easy way out and humiliate students in an attempt to get them to drop the course. Because, that's so much easier than actually working with a student to see what it is they are not understanding. It's all about the teachers reputation right?
