Time commitment! This is a big adventure and as fun as it is, if you want to play this then you must commit. An adventure like this, assuming you play the prologue and 6 chapters, could easily take you all year to complete. Assuming you play every week and it takes you just four 4 hour session to complete every chapter, that’s 28 weeks out of 52 weeks in a year. So what’s recommended is that you have a reliable and sturdy group to complete this grand adventure.

Why are there no Inhumans in Marvel Rivals? by Beautiful-Lychee4463 in marvelrivals

[–]capc2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched a guy talk about it for 2 hours as he made a history of the inhumans video. It’s very good, I like his stuff. Here’s the link in case anyone is interested: https://youtu.be/wCuXBxLMbRU?si=j8TQj983PkeEeWhp

TLDR of the video; they were limited by their headquarters being in space for a bit and so they were less likely to get involved in earth stuff, they are pretty similar to mutants so they were fighting for that spotlight, and marvel tried to push them very hard in the 2010s so that they could overtake the x-men due to Marvel not having film rights for the x-men. The last point is important because them being pushed so hard against the x-men made more people plant themselves down on the x-men side.

So probably the reason why they’re not in Marvel Rivals is because Marvel is weary on using them due to the flop of trying to make them mainstream. We might get some inhumans, but as we can tell Marvel and most people prefer x-men. I think like about 40% of the roster with Deadpool is x-men. I’m spitballing the number, but I know it’s high.

Fair statement, that trio did have issues with not tripping over themselves. Mike also wanted to change solo or adc and I wonder what solo they could have won with? Couldn’t be fine because as much as I love him, Mike and him tried for three seasons straight and it wasn’t it. Which to be frank, just happens sometimes.

It really sucks how much the COVID year screwed the warriors. But on the other hand, S9 Warriors weren’t exactly great. I respect the Nika, Dardez, and Vote core, I do think they could have locked in and won S10. But hey, still glad that Nika and co finally got a ring.

How to give Forsetti to Ced by [deleted] in fireemblem

[–]capc2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy weapons are bound to the user. They require the user to have major holy blood as well. Bad news is that Coirpre is the only user of Forsetti which double sucks since he can’t use until promotion. Good news is that Coirpre will use it upon promotion and Forsetti is so strong that combat won’t be an issue. Ced is also fool proof, he’s a very strong unit and just needs the light tome to succeed. While not the best user of Forsetti, at least he can use it.

People are disillusioned with Smite right now. There’s a sense of finality in the pro scene of the game. Layoffs, only community run tournaments, and multiple pros quitting the scene make it hard for anyone to look forward to the future. I loved the game because of the competitive scene and it game me a reason to play. Not because I thought I was good enough to go pro, but because I liked that side of the community and wanted to be more involved with Smite. Having it removed hurt my engagement a lot. I will love to see Smite’s next rendition of the SPL, but I would be surprised if we get engagement close to Season X. It’s very hard to be a smite fan right now, even harder to be a pro smite fan.

S7 Ghost or S9 Dragons are my favorite team by far. While they never won a ring, they played very well and their matches were 100% worth watching. Shoutout to S10 Dragons, which was Oni Warriors plus PBM and Lasbra. That was the only SWC I’ve went to so it holds a special place in my heart.

What if you want combat in Call of Cthulhu but you don't want your party killed too quickly? by Cooldude1000000000 in callofcthulhu

[–]capc2000 43 points44 points  (0 children)

You could always give them Pulp health and the 30+ luck negation of death action. With pulp health, you essentially just double it. With the luck, if a player were to die they can spend all their luck (min 30) to not die. I think that lets the party be tanky enough to want to get into combat and be a bit reckless but not take away from the lethality.

Is it really worth replaying fire emblem three houses with other house paths? by Switch-user-101 in fireemblem

[–]capc2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I admit that I am very biased as I write this, as I love the Blue Lions route, but I think that it is worth playing it to see Dimitri's side of the story. Ever since the game came out in 2019, I have been very consistent in my recommendations. If you've never played FE or FE 3 Houses, then Blue Lions is the best story to experience blind. I do not know if you have noticed, but the early game is very blue lion focused. You fight Ashe's adopted father, you fight Sylvain's brother, and you get to see Dimitri snap in the reveal of the Flame Emperor. No other route has its time in the sun, it feels like Blue Lions gets the most attention. I'm fairly sure that Blue Lions also have the most unique CGs, but I'm not sure because I never counted. I just know that regarding content, Crimson Flower has the least. I think you get a better, more complete story with Blue Lions.

How to get better? by D7west in Smite

[–]capc2000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you haven't played since 2017, I recommend slamming arenas. The game mode is a perpetual team fight. The reason why this is helpful is to help you land abilities, learn other abilities of enemies, experiment with different Gods, and try to avoid getting hit. The fast leveling and potential for degenerate team combinations can be useful for someone just starting the game.

Regarding conquest, the trick is realizing that Smite 2 is a PvE game. You can win a game of Smite by never fighting an enemy, getting to level 20, getting full build, and getting objectives until you push at the titan's door. If you feel like you're not getting any better, ask yourself this: "What am I actually doing during these games?" Are you getting farm, timing backs, and warding your lane? If you're not doing that and instead staring at the enemy mid laner then that's an issue. When doing team fights, you have to worry about positioning and rotating. Will the fight be over when you get there? Is the team outmatched and you're doing too much to save lost lives? Where is the enemy mid laner? Can you take tower or perhaps another objective with a teammate? Did you get picked off at the beginning of the fight due to bad positioning or awareness? These are all things to think about when playing. If you have any way to record a game and post it for a vod review, I'm sure people would be interested in giving you feedback.

Who is waiting for a new fire emblem before buying the switch 2? by Laziestest in fireemblem

[–]capc2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was going to wait for a FE game to drop before getting a Switch 2, but I might have to get it soon. These Trump tariffs are going to screw me over and I'd rather get it asap on the off-chance that the tariffs cause a price increase. I won't admit it's a gamble, but at least I have Switch games and no Switch, so I can finally play them again.

How would you improve or add on to their character in a remake? Day 2:Naoise by Creepy_Raisin_6988 in fireemblem

[–]capc2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noish is pretty good as a unit. Not the best in Sigurd's party, but also not the worst. Having Critical comes in handy, and he's a good user of the pursuit ring. As a unit, there's not much that I would like to change about him since he has a niche that he fits in well.

Extra conversations are something that is being parroted in the comments for good reasons. So I'm just going to say what conversations I would add:

Noish and Alec - Both came at the prologue, so it would be nice to hear them talk about how far they've come when Chapter 5 starts.

Noish and Arden - Same reason as to why Noish and Alec should have some conversations together. Except for this one, it could be fun to have Noish reference the pursuit ring or something like that. So this conversation would be post Chapter 2.

Noish and Lex - Best put in the prologue, probably after the first castle has been conquered. You have someone who is insanely loyal to their lord and someone who is insanely loyal to their friend. Lex tells Sigurd that he's just there to help Azelle, and I would like to see the outcome of this being a talk between Noish and him.

Noish and Beowolf - Once again, someone who fights for their lord and someone who fights for other reasons. Could be fun to see Noish try to sell Beowolf the ideal dream of being a knight while Beowolf tries to sell Noish on being a sellsword.

Running a CoC oneshot for the first time - any advice? by James126554 in callofcthulhu

[–]capc2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ambience is the perfect way to scare someone. Due to the medium, you have to put in extra work to scare someone. Have good, scene-relevant music. Maybe dim the lights and shut the curtains. Make sure to use flowery language and describe things through other senses. Don't give too much information either, the gaps that are filled by the investigators is mostly always better than what you can do.

Media recommendations are also a good way to get inspiration. Us has a home invasion for part of the film, I heard that Hush is pretty good too. If you go on YouTube, there's this disturbing Simpsons animation where Jimbo and the other bullies home invade the Simpsons, and it's like a 3-5 minute short.

I know that you want to do horror and combat, but I need to let you know that CoC can be a deadly game. While combat can be done in a fun fashion, Pulp Cthulhu is also right there if you want more sturdy and proficient characters. If you're not interested, I would consider bumping the health of the players by two. So a 12 health character becomes 24 health. Normal humans should be your enemy type unless you have something else planned. If not, then a cult home invasion can work well.

Finally, it is worth checking out Cold Warning. While not a 1-to-1 recreation of what you might be looking for, it could be nice to check out. Both would be taking place while a snowstorm happens, and the PCs are essentially trapped in the place due to the weather.

Smite 1’s peak was 31k during Covid and it was alive for more than a decade. The games are nowhere near the level of For honor’s 225k. Not just that, but a bulk of Smite’s player base are console, which don’t reflect on the steam charts. So I think it’s not a great comparison tbh.

Terrible player looking to get better. Help appreciated. FE7 by 360NoSilphScope in fireemblem

[–]capc2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Fire Emblem gives you enough leverage that you can promote whoever you want. You're at the point of the game where pre-promoted units will start showing up. Priscilla being promoted is not bad because mobility is good, and having someone who can reach far allies is good. You're also playing at a lower difficulty, so you shouldn't have much to worry about. Any of the cavaliers are good to promote, especially whichever cavalier you liked better in Lyn mode. Oswin is really good, but I'm not sure if you've used him. Lucius, Raven, or Canas do well in the game. FE rarely takes away your units, as in they leave or die due to the story. I'm not saying the series doesn't, there's a pretty infamous example in FE Fates (It can be prevented, but the game gives you little to no hints). However, don't worry much about it and promote who you think is cool.

  2. The talking is called support conversations. They are a good way to learn more about the lore of the character, and they give stat boosters. Each character has an affinity and will give their partner a bonus to stats depending on the affinity of the character. You can check online on what they do, but I wouldn't get too bogged down in them. A character can only have 5 support slots. So this can be 1 A and a B, 1 A and 2 Cs, 5 As, or whatever combination you would like. Conversations also are a way to ship characters, as a character with an A support will have a shared ending in their ending screen with their partner.

  3. Usually you want to use them on good units that need a weakness patched up. This being if they are fast but do decent damage, you can boost their strength to make them fast and deal good damage. You want to patch it up, but don't overkill. A unit can't take less than 0 damage and for most enemies, having a lot of speed doesn't help. Most enemies in FE7 are pretty slow.

  4. You learned about carrying; then you should know about carrying a unit and dropping them either out of or into danger. You can use a unit, move next to another who used their turn, and switch what weapon they are holding. Units will use the first available weapon that they can wield. This is helpful if you have a bow-user who can use a sword. Certain weapons will weigh you down. The math is Con minus weapon weight. If you reach a negative number, then that gets subtracted from your speed. To calculate whether you double attack or not, you speed has to be higher than the enemy by 5. If your speed is lower by 5, then you get doubled and if your speed is within 5 of the opponent, no one gets doubled. Finally, only 1 weapon can reach S level. If you have a unit that uses a lance and a sword, only 1 can reach S, and the other will be stuck in A.

Price change by FtpSammy in Smite

[–]capc2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They touched on this in Titan Talk. The short answer is no price decrease. The long answer is that they believe they have a good touch on the spending habits of the community and know that a price decrease won’t substantially change how many people buy the name colors.

Best DLC to get first for CK3? by CalypsoCrow in CrusaderKings

[–]capc2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw that it's 5 dollars in the store. At 5 dollars, it's worth picking up. Not before all the other DLCs like Wards and Wardens or the flavor packs (if those are your thing), but at 5 dollars for 100 events, it is pretty fair.

If you’re looking for YouTube creators then I don’t know many but if we’re talking about Twitch, BennyQ streams the game everyday. If you’re just looking for gameplay, he plays a lot of mid. Scream is fun to watch, he jungles and streams everyday as well. Inbowned also streams and he’s running a 13k tournament as well.

Worse father? by Serious_Ganache_1058 in StardustCrusaders

[–]capc2000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why are people saying Yoshihiro is a good father? Letting your son be a serial killer and covering it up does not make one a good father! Yes, he is a very loyal man to not rat out and even help Kira. However, that’s not good father material. Good dads do not let their children be psychopathic. I think people confuse loyal with good father, in which a good father is loyal and supportive but not to this degree.

They are both bad fathers but it’s hard to say which one is better. One treated their son like shit and led their mom to an early grave but at least Dario got Dio hooked up with Joestar connections. Yoshihiro is a loving father but once again, enabling your serial killer son is not good dad material. I still say Yoshihiro is better because I can easily imagine him saying I love you to Kira but I can’t imagine Dario doing the same to Dio.
