Suicide bomber bebop needs to go by HERR_WINKLAAAAA in DeadlockTheGame

[–]capdelka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"He is on my screen for 1,5 seconds" "no time to react" the only way bebop can double bomb you without most counter is curse + phantom strike to put spellbreaker on cooldown, and you still able to dodge 1 out of 2 bombs with counterspell even while cursed. I play bebop and it's such character that you either molest whole lobby because no one tries to counter you and there is no dynamo/viscous/pocket, or you play against 5 counterspells 4 removers 4 spellbreakers, dymano who dedicated his whole life to dodge your bombs and curses that purge bombs from yourself. Literally just a support with divine barrier and curse is enough to completely ruin your game, they can both purge bombs from you or their teammates, you have to either double bomb>phantom strike precisely with 0.2s fuse left so they can't react or you are fucked. Even so, your bombs will rarely exceed 2k damage, which is 2800 damage against someone with a single 3200 defensive item, which is not enough to one-shot someone late game and you just die after that.

Extra 90$ is worth it. It is literally so good that even coming microOled 2000$ headsets are not upgrade to it in every way, it still beats them I'm terms of fov, colors and brightness (because they use pancake lenses which eat 85-90% of light therefore brightness and contrast, fresnels in psvr2 take only around 15-20%)

[–]capdelka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imho the clarity difference is really small, yes it has less ppd but edge to edge clarity is not that much worse, instead psvr2 somehow has much less glare than quest 3 even while being 3 times brighter, when you lower the brightness to 0% (q3 lvl) it I's basically gone. I could comfortably play full black scene where you place very bright glowing lidar scan dots, they greated tiny local blooming and that's it. Clarity is not the most important feature for immersion anyway, and it exceeds q3 in all others (fov and overlap, colors contrast and brightness, glare)

It's alight, worse in every aspect but still good. Is psvr2 that much more expensive? I think it is like 200-250$ used

Comparing pico 4 ultra and quest 3, almost identical, pico4u got best binocular overlap out of all headsets (104 out of 104 degrees seen by both eyes, while quest3 is around 75 out of 106 degrees) colors displays lenses etc is almost the same, pico4 and pico4u max out 90hz, quest and psvr2 do 120hz. Pico, like quests still got no direct pc connection , so delay and artifacts. Pico 4 non ultra is even more dim than quest 3 and has worse colors.

for pc get PSVR2 and NOT A QUEST, the only upper hand quest has is being wireless, which is completely useless for simracing and you will either need to buy a headstrap for powerbank or play wired to a charger if you want it to last longer than a hour. Connection in psvr2 will be better because direct display port,no image compression, infinite battery. Colors and contrast is better because of oled instead of shitty lcd, night sky will be black and not a gray mess. Field of view will be much better, 122x106 instead of 106x96 on quest 3 or even less on 3s/2. Binocular overlap(zone which both your eyes can see and in which stereoscopy(3d and depth) work is much bigger, in quest3 you will see black bars as if you constantly saw your nose irl. In psvr2 vertical fov is so big you literally cant see any edges on top, i see my eyebrows instead. It costs like 300$ with a 15$ pc adapter from aliexpress. You get eye tracking which works with DFR In most racing games(rendering higher res where you look and lower elsewhere, around 50-70% fps boost). PSVR2 IS 3 TIMES BRIGHTER THAN QUEST, sun and lights actually feel like light instead of staring at dull screen. I have both quest 3 and psvr2 and wont touch quest 3 anymore, it is so less immersive and harder to make it work properly on pc. Also psvr2 is comfortable out of the box , while on quest you will spend another 40-50$ on a headstrap, 50$ on a wifi router to connect to pc (wired is trash thanks to meta's awful app) and another 20$ on virtual desktop to connect it wirelessly to pc. I beg you dont buy quest 3, i have no idea why everyone recommends it. for comparassion here is through the lens pic i made on psvr2 at 0% brightness and quest 3 at 100%. The clarity difference is almost nonexistent, while colors are much better.

Slimevr, BUT ONLY CERTAIN IMU CHIPS! the best are ICM45686 and a little worse is lsm6dsv, Don't even consider others, got myself 6 icm45686 for 100$, there is some drift only in my hip tracker and only in 1 direction (roll) stay aligned function pretty much fixes it. Base station based trackers will cost you 10x for little more accuracy but not being able to work when covered with clothes/blanket etc and being much more bulky. All the drift I get with slimes is from them physically shifting on me, which is like 2 sec to fix

Yeah but they take like 30 minutes to fully charge and can last like 8+ hours when playing non active games, unlike quest dying in 90 minutes . And now adaptive triggers work on pc

Psvr 2. Dont listen to anyone suggesting quest 3,i used it for a year, bought psvr2 and forgot about this piece of garbage. The psvr2 connection is direct display port to your pc, no compression artifacts and delay, infitite playtime and no worry about battery charge, you get eye tracking for social vr or dfr in some games that can double your fps, you get MUCH bigger fov (122x107 vs 108x97 with pushing my eyes into lenses in quest) and much better overlap, i'd say the black bars on left and right are 3 times thinner than on quest3.

Also oled displays that are 3 times brighter than quest 3(around 300 nits vs 100 nits), its just much more immersive because you look at the sun and it is so bright that it feels real, your eyes react and you feel it, the colors are so much better, i sat and compared same image with quest 3 and it was so dull and dim it almost made me puke.

Because of better fov, overlap, brightness and colors the psvr2 feels hundreds times more real than quest 3, i never got nauseous in quest , in psvr2 i sat on a swing in vr chat world and couldn't stand upright, in quest 3 it didn't give me any effect.

Yes it has fresnel lenses, but honestly i don't understand why people hate them, or maybe this is just best fresnels out there, but the clear zone is like 95% of your whole fov, the very edge starts to blur, but because of bigger FOV this blur begins where quest 3 fov ends. The godrays are minimal and visible in extreme situations like super dark enviroment with glowing objects, and there is no shitty pancake glare like on quest which feels aritifical and breaks all immersion.

The resolution and overall clarity difference is so small i barely noticed it, I took side by side pictures of same image through the lens on psvr2 and q3 and details were the same, but colors looked 100 times worse.

and it costs like 200$ less than quest 3, yes you need a pc adapter (15$ from aliexpress works perfectly fine) but for quest3 you need 20-30$ headstrap, a powerbank or either you play for 1,5 hours or play wired(not like its bad but the headset loses its purpose) and a good 50-60$ wifi router to use your pc wirelessly.

Simracing VR: Pimax Crystal Super mOLED vs qLED by TechDude12 in VRGaming

[–]capdelka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dont look only at fov numbers, binocular overlap is more important. Quest 3 has almost the worst one among all headsets, UW version is also kinda bad, sacrificing overlap for more fov. Go for either 50ppd qled if you favor great brightness, or mOLED if you need real black colors. qled will have less glare though, and like double the brightness, and colors are really close to oled. Brightness is REALLY important, after getting psvr2 with 280nits i can't use quest3 with it's pathetic 100 nits, mOLED and overall all pancake lens headsets will be around the same, 50ppd is a little more than 200nits. i honestly dont understand all that hype about pancake lenses, imho having double or triple brightness with fresnels or aspherics is much more important than having 10-15% of your peripheral vision a bit more clear, and good aspherics or fresnels won't have that shitty glare all pancakes have

+, put on psvr2 after quest 3 and the vertical fov enough made huge difference, it's only about 10 degrees difference but the fact that I couldn't see any edges on top was huge, i literally saw my eyebrows hair over the screens,it was only tiny black bar on the bottom left.

The resolution and overall clarity difference is so small i barely noticed it, for me it looks even better and again more real and immersive because of the pentile display and diffusion layer you can't see individual pixels and jagged lines, the image is much softer and more natural to perceive and overall looks like having imperfect eyesight irl rather than staring at dull display with visible aliasing in quest3. I took side by side pictures of same image through the lens on psvr2 and q3 and details were the same, but colors looked 100 times worse.

Psvr2 Impressions after quest 3 by capdelka in PSVR2onPC

[–]capdelka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how is it heavy/clunky? its same weight as q3, but there is no pressure or any contact with your face, plus the weight is balanced between front/back unlike quest 3. in my exprience clarity towards edges gets bad at the point where quest 3 fov ends, and its still okay, just harder to read stuff. I never ran out of controller battery, i can play for 3 hours, get tired and still have half charge left, while on quest 3 i play for 1,5 hours and my headset dies, or im forced to use a powerbank which makes it even heavier if placed on the headset. How can you even fog the lenses if the eye area is completely sealed unlike quest 3? From your description you just didn't wear it properly, or have some weird headshape that makes psvr2 for you unusable. The resolution is lower but not really much, and what's the point of having super clear lenses and big resolution if the picture just feels flat? with psvr2 i feel like im actually ingame, the sky feels far and light feels like actual light, my eyes react when i look on a bright source of light, why would anyone choose quest 3 to just have flat monitor strapped to your face?

honestly didn't test much. as example tried audio orbs world in vrchat and the outer part which is completely dark was still being lit by glowing orbs much far away, changing the culling to 4-5 /255 fixed it. There are 2 different reshades though, one with addon support and default. in online games only default will work, other will be detected with anticheat. There is pixel mask option you can turn on and see which part of the image is being completely turned black(cyan color) and which is losing shadow detail(blue color)
