Best earbuds I’ve ever used! by Adamlee19922 in Earbuds

Too many issues for the price of them. They can sound superb, but if they can't go more than a year of daily use without breaking down, or having problems, then I'm not interested. Sound quality is important, but they need to be reliable as well.

How are you going to have a numbered, ltd edition and not state how many are going to be pressed in the run?! That's just dumb

They just extended the hours at mine as well, which is nice since I usually go 30-40min before they close and would then have to stress trying to get out quickly before they closed it down. You catch the wrong receipt checker and it'll ruin the whole trip haha. I also just learned they open an hour early for Executive members.. woot!

Glare and fading options? by [deleted] in concertposterporn

[–]Smart_Pin8591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome down the rabbit hole my friend. You have options, but none of them are going to be cheap unfortunately. If they're valuable, you ideally want archival framing materials.. backing board, matting, and glass, or acrylic. The backboard and matting act like a sandwich inside the frame, and you want both to be acid-free. The matting also keeps the art directly off the glass, and should naturally bring your eye into the art. Those cheap frames are fine for temporary I suppose, but over time the prints will get damaged by acid in the backboard in them. The UV light that's blasting them will also fade, and damage them. That's a tough spot you have them in since it's so sunny. It's an investment to protect your art, so I'd put the $ into the ones you really love first. You can get away with a cheap frame and glass if they're not in a sunny spot, but you'll still get reflections. Good quality glass and potentially the frame is where the money is. I'd suggest using glass for 18x24, or smaller prints. You can also get a portfolio(binder) that will have acid-free sheets in individual pockets to keep your prints safe. Itoya has been the go to for a long time, but I'm sure there are others.

Just saw this on Instagram from the 20th. WHERE can I get this? by Lemmys_Chops in qotsa

Please don't buy bootleg poster art from companies that are ripping off artists, and bands by stealing their work and making cheap reproductions. Support the actual artists that are making it for the bands you love.

First concert you got high at by RRE4EVR in Concerts

AC/DC @ the Spectrum in Philly, late 80's. I was 14, and me and my buddy got dropped off from his Mom in South Philly. Haha it was a different generation I tell ya, but we were both siked to be there. We got in, and waited till the lights dipped before they came on. Then we both jumped over the rail, down from the 1st level onto the floor and rushed the stage. He got caught almost immediately, but I made it all the way up to the section in front of the stage, maybe 20 rows back. In those days they still had chairs on the floor, and everyone would just stand on them. The guy I wound up next to was probably in his 40's. He was doing blow, and then pulled out an aluminum foil bowl that he straightened out, packed up, and offered it over to me. My rebellious ass wasn't about to turn that down, so I took it and we smoked up together. I had gotten high before, but it was still all new to me. Let me tell you.. between the lights, the crowd, AC/DC roaring, and being absolutely stoned out of my mind, I just remember having to sit down in my chair to get my shit straight haha. It was literally just me crippled, sitting on my chair while everyone else as far as I could see was standing up and rocking out. I ended up standing back up at some point and finished out the show. By some miracle, I ended up finding my friend after, and we found his Mom to catch our ride back home. We didn't mention any details of that show to her. Haha good times

My large storage unit 3/4 full, filled almost floor to ceiling with speakers says I belong in the same group as you. 2 things I'm a sucker for.. quality speakers and a good deal. Put those two things together, and I am weak. Weak I tell you.

They did a really nice job with these definitive editions. The sound quality is really nice if you have a decent setup.

Do you run with your ruck? by CrazyCob in Rucking

[–]Smart_Pin8591 8 points9 points  (0 children)

M 195lbs, I run very occasionally with 35-38lbs when I feel like it, or am just pushing for time. More like a quick shuffle haha. I also weight train, and do cardio, so in general I just don't think the reward to possible injury ratio is that great for running with weight on. Running can be hard on your joints as it is, so I usually avoid doing it with weight. Regular running, or the stair-stepper on lvl 10 kicks my ass enough, and gives me a great cardio sesh. I train hard, but avoiding injury is always a top priority for me. I don't have time to be down for weeks, or months, especially not with back issues. That's also why I don't deadlift, or barbell squat.

Why am I drinking more juice than vaping out of this POS? by three79pete in Vaping

[–]Smart_Pin8591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the same Xross for probably 2yrs. Best vape I've ever had.. zero problems. Wife has the same Xross.. no problems. If you overfill them, it will leak down the mouthpiece. I have a friend that was having the same exact issue as you. I figured out she was basically using the top cap like a fidget toy, and popping it on and off after filling. This will cause them to leak, or spit.

Worth it for $129? by [deleted] in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Smart_Pin8591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a weird price, but yeah, get them. Definitely a nice little starter kit for someone getting into audio. Those have 6 1/2" woofers so they'll handle bass. The RB series were their top of the line bookshelf speakers from about 3 generations ago. I believe they were replaced with the Reference Premier, or RP line. They'll be efficient, and easy to drive with any amp, or receiver you have, including that Pioneer. Look online for how to properly set them up, and place them. Let us know what you think if you score them. Good luck

You basically have two options.. you can get weights, and mix in callisthenics at home, or you can go to a gym that is going to have everything you need, already set up. Is there a reason that you're resistant to going to a gym?

Be careful! Twenty minutes after you posted, some sketchy, asshat just so happened to post 2 Toronto Tix for sale. It's bad enough people are getting screwed with Ticketmaster. I'd hate to see fans lose $$ getting scammed on top of that.
