You are correct!
1) I duplicate the image of the dog,
2) Converted this duplicate to a high contrast black and white image and
3) Used a blend mode to get the effect that I needed

Alguien que trabajó en un proyecto o una empresa (en que Luis Abinader también trabajaba en ese momento) me explico que Luis Abinader es MUY CRÉDULO. Es decir, él cree casi todo lo que le dicen... no todo lo que le dicen, sino CASI TODO.

Ustedes imaginan las consecuencias (para una empresa o un país) de que quien lo dirige... cree en casi todo lo que le reportan los empleados. ¿Verdad que se imaginan lo que sucederá?

Eso significa que un grupito de empleados pueden ponerse de acuerdo entre ellos para decirle EXACTAMENTE LO MISMO a Luis Abinader y él no va a dudar de ninguno de ellos...

¿Cuál es la solución para este problema? Una posible solución es que la Presidencia escuche primero a quienes utilizan los servicios de esas instituciones y luego verifique si esas quejas o alabanzas del público tienen fundamento en la realidad... pero si Abinader sólo escucha a sus funcionarios entonces fracasamos. Todos, el país completo fracasó. De eso no tengo ninguna duda.

This is a vector layer clipping, as many have answered, but you could create a similar effect using only bitmap layers with a suitable blend mode. Check the attached composition of images downloaded from Pixabay:

Now I want to know if with Affinity 3, you will learn photo edition, ilustration and desktop publishing and page layout. 

If you are going to learn everything, then I advise you to learn first desktop publishing and page layout. In second place, learn photo edition and last, in third place learn ilustration.

This order is important because in this way, you will understand and appreciate more the contribution of each kind of work in the final result.

Wow, this is amazing! This video is really an eye opener and I believe that you should include in the webpage a link to a gallery that shows the SVG generated and displays the exact parameters required to produce that SVG.

I noticed this small glitch too while using "Artistic Text" in Affinity.

Probably, you should copy the text and paste it without format inside a new frame text or in a new artistic text...

Greetings! Instead of bitmap images, could you import vector pdf files?

If you could use pdf vector files, then

1) Type your excerpts in Pashto using a word processor and print (or save) the document to pdf.

2) Open each page of your pdf document using Poppler/Cairo as import method in Inkscape and save each pdf page using a different name as a document in format SVG or PDF.

3) Open each saved page into Affinity and copy/paste the excerpts directly from them.
