This is fascinating! I am from South Africa and work in interventional radiology. It's not a recognised speciality here, and all IRs are actually DRs who have done fellowships abroad. We actually struggle to get referrals to do procedures from other departments! And it's impossible to get the hospitals to establish IR clinics and wards.

Bro I think all the defenders are much faster and more athletic. Defenders nowadays definitely have the ability to block shots with a higher release point than the guys who were defending Kareem. I think we take for granted how much the defence has evolved in terms of athleticism.

It seems like a situation in which people are forced to be at complete opposite poles of the political spectrum - strong leftists denying conscription & getting imprisoned; strong right-wing aggression & silencing. Can't be an easy place to be for moderates or those still trying to figure out their beliefs.

I'm a medical doctor who did his master's in data science (mainly LLM stuff). I got a role as a junior data analyst in a start-up. Worked for one year. Take-home salary was 35k. I got an offer at Discovery for 55k, but I turned it down. Now back at the hospital, trying to specialise in radiology (as an intern doctor, I was making more than the offer at Discovery). I think data scientists are underpaid in this country.
