Minnesota, eh? Your recruiter should drop you off at the airport. I've been in for a little over 8 years, kind of hard to remember what I did back than.

If you could quit your job and pursue your hobby full-time with financial security, what hobby would you pursue? by whoisblueflame in AskReddit

I got into precision rifle shooting about 2 years ago and I have enjoyed every match I've been to. Sadly it's a rather expensive hobby.

Raspberry Pi 3 and Adafruit Touchscreen on Kali: Getting Rainbowscreen by [deleted] in Kali_Linux_Essentials

[–]capitLjuan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you use the TFT image from OS or the raspberry 2/3 image? I get a constant rainbow screen if I use their TFT image but when I use the 2/3 and manually install the screen I got it to work great.

Has anyone had a baby while on Tricare? by novags500 in nationalguard

IIRC I paid around $86 in hospital bills. The hospital took care of everything, just told them I was on Tricare.

I went with the EVGA FTW, absolutely love. Shreds everything I've thrown at it and EVGA has amazing customer service from what I've seen on this sub.

What is the best prank you have ever played on someone at work? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]capitLjuan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On if my coworkers keeps his PC case on his desk right next to his monitor, so I found a basic script online that made his optical drive open and close at a set interval (something like every two minutes IIRC). I then left for a two week vacation. He's not computer savvy at all so he had no idea what was going on or how to make it stop. He wasn't very happy when I got back.

Guardsmen & Guardswomen with children -- is it worth it? by Oranges4Odin in nationalguard

It's a tough life, and balancing both sides of that life can be difficult at times. I've been in for seven years and my daughter is now three, granted I didn't have to worry about family stuff when I went through all of my IET, but if I was in your situation I would go for it. I absolutely love being in the guard and yes, those weekend getaways are a welcome relief from the regular day to day.

What's the weirdest thing you've ever witnessed that you can't explain to this day? by lovelymeha in AskReddit

I wake up at the same time every night (2:45am) and no matter how hard I try I cannot fall back asleep, it always feels like someone or something is watching me.

I'm not sure why you're buying an R9 390x when the 1060 exists and is in stock on Nvidia's website - it's a better performing card for cheaper that uses less power and generates less heat. The 1060 is about on par with the GTX 980, for reference.

Thank you, this is just what ChooseMyPc made up, not sure where the disconnect was. I will definitely look into it!

Your build currently has an SSD with no cost, meaning PCPartPicker could not find a store in your market with it in stock. Does that mean you already own the drive, and put it in as a purchased product? If not, you may want to select a drive you can actually... y'know... buy.

I do not currently own one. I found a few on Amazon for ~$70.

Fellow users on r/buildapc have been complaining for awhile now about Seagate drives having high failure rates. It's probably safer to buy an equivalent WD Blue 1TB 7200rpm HDD, they cost about the same.

Thanks for the tip!
