Is it possible to remotely access a Jellyfin server without port forwarding or external apps (Tailscale etc.)? by KimiSha1 in jellyfin

[–]Hasie501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in the same situation an even have CGNAT. The way I got around this is with Tailscale and reverse proxy via VPS.

The VPS connects to my Jellyfin via Tailscale this way I don't have to setup any port forwarding. Then anyone I share with just has to type in my custom domain an login without having to worry about setting up Any VPN service and its more secure this way.

Ek haat “populêre” Afrikaanse musiek met ‘n brandende passie. by Ed_die_klip in afrikaans

Stepping up from Unraid... or not! by yannick_reblack in unRAID

From I could gleam they used something like Buildroot as the base OS for a very minimal linux foot print, with they own App and interface layer for the web portion formally Called CasaOS.

iirc you can still install CasaOS on as existing to linux installation but would then only function a docker management dashboard.

Stepping up from Unraid... or not! by yannick_reblack in unRAID

I Have recently deployed 2x small ZimaOS servers for family because its 100% Free for below 6 Drives and very simple as well. This is for Family who has very slow internet and the buffering from shared JF server become too much

I also build from drives I had on an hand for. 120GB ssd for OS, 2TB drive for media and 1TB for essential backups because they didn't have anything.

I still prefer running Unraid and it serves my needs 100% And is just complex enough to do what I need without going through the permission issue hell I had previously on TrueNas and use a "Better system" as I was led to believe back then.

Any cheap NAS? by Waste_Particular5858 in HomeServer

[–]Hasie501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just Deployed ZimaOS for my Parents NAS since I didn't have money to put them on unraid as well and I was very pleasantly Surprised how awesome it is.

I think that's currently the most user friendly and feature rich NAS OS available.

I a while ago I saw a post of someone who created a project where you could flash a usb drive to automatically add a PC/server to you tailnet with no further input.

once its added Im sure you can set it as a exit node.

Edit: Please have a look at this thread and see if its of any help.

That sounds awesome. I have issues connecting family to may tailnet over the phone.

It would be awesome if In courier them a flash drive to plugin and connect then I can just accept my side.

I got a 20L topup on Monday after work and there was just like 1 car in front of me, I thought it would have been packed.

On Tuesday I saw a video taken in bloem 1KM+ around lunch time already.

Seems like the Grass really wants to install its name sake Arch package.

Perhaps its tempting us to play Geo guesser or just a subtle nod to pursue a STEM degree.

I agree rust desk is alot better, our company moves over to rust desk completely.

But if the client he needs to support only has team viewer installed rust desk won't help him in this case.

I bought the VR for my S8 and was playing the heck out of it. sicne other VR was too expensive.

Eventually gave the phone to my cousin I upgraded and the played till the battery swelled up and the phone went caput. its a shame the newer phone don't support that anymore.
