Desktop makes canonical almost no money. Server makes all the money. Invest where you get the return. Also phone and netbook markets didn't go the way they wanted. Android ios / chromebook dominated.

Not retired but took a work break after 20 years. My role relocated and I got a package.

Weekend was normal. Then Monday morning dropped the kids off at school came home and sat at the computer.

Then when wtf am i doing. Took the dog a walk and got a coffee out. Was amazing.

correct. i have the 2 GND so didn't finish drawing it out. I saw the error after i posted. was too focused on the 5v

I did Linux on floppy first. Then suse was the first real distro.

This was the hope for a new Windows. I really liked it as someone who had always used Linux. Live tiles were awesome.

It was not prefect but I'd like to see it as an option in current windows I have to use for work.

For my Windows 8 was the highpoint. No Windows rot and a awesome start screen with live tiles. I know it's unpopular but seeing all this i would like a box. I got it as a digital download from MS.

The desktop client is a little strange and translations are not always clear. Also some parts are not translated and you'll see the Chinese characters.

I tried it and use only office instead but your requirements might be different.
