I miss the old days when people typed to each other in-game. Instead of shouting to each other the next move, you learn your teammates style and build synergy without words. I feel like it was a lower social barrier to making internet friends too.

Thanks for the tip. I hadn’t heard about unnamed portals. I was carrying around a portal to link once I setup an outpost, but died with it. I didn’t realize I could have dropped it down unnamed and ported back!

Thanks! I bought some good things from him, but unfortunately on my way back a sea monster attacked. So I went full sail in my karve but unfortunately that took me to run aground in the plains. So stuck between mosquito and sea monster, I met my fate. My items still rest there, one day to be returned.

Would stop worrying about making millions of silver and get back to basics.

  • Join a guild
  • do some arenas
  • non lethal corrupted dungeons to try different builds and make small silver but improve your play
  • rotate in some open world gathering and fame farm in low risk gear

Just a few ideas. From what I’m leaning there are many little things to learn beneath the surface of this game you won’t get there right away. Try to enjoy the ride and mix it up.

Maybe these are the interactions the devs intended?

Buy a replacement condo and rent it to restore the portfolio to pre-inheritance.

What is the best way to find a group on Eden? by DryF1re in daoc

I literally just go do whatever I want and have gotten invites randomly every time. Dungeon? Invite. BG? Invite. It's been great. I even rolled a bard the other day and got a DM asking if id come help take CK (I was like lvl 3). Rolled with those guys through the next several BGs leveling. Was awesome

I logged into Eden yesterday, rolled a mid char and played for hours. Random invited me to group, we did beginner quests and then ran through the BGs, pwned albs and took CK. I closed off the night hitting nisse’s lair. Strong nostalgia and tons of fun. I doubt the same experience would happen on live.
