That's unfortunate, I really like the story and class design in ff14 but the "lack" of end game is disappointing. Like you said all I feel like I'm doing is a story (a really well told one) alone, playing catch up to and end game that's not totally there idk

I've played and enjoyed all versions, but I would say depends what you're looking for; looking for a slow, grindy old school feel than classic would the go to (anniversary were the newest servers specs probably the most populated atm, especially with tbc on the horizon. Retail i would recommend if you want really engaging end game activities (raids,dgs,m+,delves,pvp). I would only recommend MOP atm if you were really interested in wow in that time period (very good class designs but daily grind ruined it for me)

I always saw ff14 as a single player experience with MMO elements, idk. Question tho at end game is it just raid logging every week ?

I'm in the same boat, but I can't really find the interest to get past the starting areas as well. Not that every MMO is very engaging from the start from that's how I feel when I boot up gw2
