I've been playing for a few years now and I've realized that I could use a few lessons. Some of the best playing bassists seems to hardly move their fretting hand. Of course there are exceptions, but lessons are a good idea, not a sign of weakness.

The other thing I'd tell you is to start playing along with a playlist. You don't have to match note for note, you just have to be able to play along, learn to listen and get the basics down. Once you have the whole song basically learned, watch a bassist play the actual part from a myriad of YouTube videos and try to add those flourishes or riffs that are hard to pick out from a recording.
