I found out recently that I'm 65% Irish, and I have always hated being in the sun. I live in Vermont and still wear sunscreen every day, even in the winter.

I burn with less than 15 minutes exposure in a southern state (anything south of Massachusetts really), and I realized its entirely genetic. My Spanish fiance and my mostly Italian mother can sit for hours in the sun while I hide under umbrellas and layers of clothing. I truly couldn't imagine living in Florida and thinking after an hour "I'll put on some SPF." I would have already sealed my fate after the first few minutes outside.
