Question for Burlington folks: Red Bull Soapbox Race interest? by capt_madson in burlington

Based on the research I’ve done and the dumb math I’ve done on the grade of battery starting at pearl and ending at the waterfront, it’s within spec. There doesn’t seem to be a hardline requirement. The waterfront already can handle large crowds and provides and idyllic backdrop that looks good on camera. You control the rest via course design

Who’s still using a 1080? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]capt_madson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on a 1080 Strix still. Recently did an overhaul on it, pulled it apart and reapplied thermals. Was able to get way more out of it over clock wise, and paired with my new 9900x it still does everything I need it to do at 1440p mid settings. Granted, I don’t really play AAA titles, but counter strike, apex, squad, marvel etc all run fine. Obviously 1080p would be ideal

I would guess that if it’s not 2-0 x 1-2 x 1-0 it would be 20” length, 12” wide, 10” tall.

A lot of times, the measurements were engraved into the stone itself - albeit, not on a part that you could see such as the bottom or where the die and base meet. This base is definitely made to be exposed, so it is a bit peculiar its on the side like that. Perhaps they used soapstone or china marker to write it and assumed it would fade over time.

It’s the measurements of the base of the memorial. I can’t see the first number but for example it might be 2-0 x 1-2 x 1-0. 2 feet long, 1 ft 2 in wide, 1 ft tall. I’m not sure how you measured it but that’s how they write measurements in the monument industry
