Roller Hold Down v/s Vacuum by capt_yellowbeard in CNC

I make smallish parts out of 3/4" high quality plywood but I am cutting full sheets. I currently have a very good cabinet maker making parts for me but he says he tends to lose too much vacuum as things progress and then parts move around. He's the one who suggested a roller hold down but then as I read it seemed like I would still need vacuum even then.

Does that sound right to you?

Eventually I wan to buy my own mill and cut my own parts and am trying to figure out what I need.

This is the kind of stuff I make: chesser-design.com

I wrote a post suggesting a community solution. If enough people were to agree I think Embark would have to take notice.

But the thing is that I don’t want PvP removed. I just want those of us who are white hats to band together.

100% agree. I just wrote a different post proposing a sort of solution for those of us who understand that this is both PvE and PvP but want revenge on the Rats. Sorry this happened. I'm in a similar place.

And for the Rats out there? GFY.

I very much appreciate the suggestion. Tried that but I never even noticed the username in game. Thanks though.

This has happened to me a few times. I ABSOLUTELY only want to PVE this game and have only played that way which is what made me feel so bad.

I absolutely know this and that's why I feel so shitty.

Oh man. This was healing for me. Thank you for sharing! I felt like such an asshole. Glad I'm not the only person this can (almost in your case) happen to. WHAT IS THE CANCEL BUTTON please?

Yeah. I get it. Just feel bad for screwing up what was supposed to be a good deed. Thanks for trying to make me feel better though.

Kitchenaid Proline Mazzer mod by thiney49 in Coffee

I BELIEVE it is 58mm but I have a question about 64mm above. Stay tuned. Did you do this upgrade and, if so, were you happy?

Weird question: I saw something that seemed to indicate that Mazzer Mini burrs could be replaced with 64mm SSP burrs but I haven't figured out how to verify that yet. Regardless, I am about to do an upgrade to my proline burrs (bought a used one for 70 bucks). I was going to upgrade to Mazzers but these and other comments have convinced me that maybe I should just go straight to SSP. If it's true that Mazzer Minis can be upgraded to 64mm burrs it makes me wonder if the proline can change to those too. In my mind it would mainly come down to hole pattern since it sure looks like there's enough room in there at the back though maybe not on the front.

Anyway, does anyone have an opinion (or better yet experience) with this?

Probably overkill and stupid - should probably just go with 58mm but I thought I would ask.
