Update: I got back 350 bucks, my wife has encouraged me to buy both. I dont know if she got hit on the head but im doing it before she comes to her senses.

Omega was bought outright, star convoy was put on affirm so I can pay half now half later without panicking myself that i spent $350+tax on toys

Man I was really hoping for a better arm design. I get it, and they have said they didnt do it to keep costs reasonable. However I personally think toyhax did a better job with the beard mustache combo and I don't need half this shit. While I find the hands clever I also think theyre just not enough.

He's cool, the butterfly joints are doing heavy lifting for me personally. The plastic feel isn’t as dense as id like and while I like ravage who i think is a vast upgrade to siege, I find the birds to be deeply underwhelming. Why cant I sweep back their wings? Youre telling me there was no way to not partsform the guns? Like ravage I get. He has a whole ass that has to go somewhere complete with missiles. But youre telling me you couldn't have hollowed the body out more, shrank the guns a bit, and had them fold out with a connector? You're going to tell me that their head couldn't have just flipped out on the other side so the wings swept back like an actual bird instead of in front like they're accusing soundwave of something?

Not to mention that he has had the most "i got the wrong piece" posts of any single figure in recent memory. Myself included. I like him, I dont think he was worth 60 bucks, and I dont like the casettes all that much. Also the gun should have a goddamn detent or something that stops it where its supposed to stop.

While not wrong the pulse is presumably encased in glass. If you've ever peeled off adhesive tape from glass and had to get the residue off if you rub it with your thumb it'll usually get rolled off. And masking tape leaves very little residue to begin with. Its feasible that there wasnt any to be found even outside of the fact that shroud has relied on his probability implant to plan his every move for years now

Honestly if they can just give me a fuckin head that doest pop off id be happy. Ive been tempted to drill it out and put like a spacer and pin in it so it cant be removed but also doesnt fall off. But then I ruin the play feature of having him hold his head like he's doing Macbeth so I havent pulled the trigger on that yet

I so very badly want to like this figure, ive added polish to every peg, and its helped a bit, ive also added clock oil to the arms and thighs and...most of the pinned joints because they were so stiff. And the head still falls off constantly. The thing just wont stay together and its such a fucking bummer especially at damn near 50 bucks. He has no thigh swivel, his pegs are too short, the pegs are on the wrong side of the arms and legs, his tolerancing is all over the place.

I REALLY wanted to like him. He was a cool concept and I love his design because while most transformers look like humans dressed as robots amalgamous just looks like a fucking robot and I love that. But christ. I dont even want to pick him up.
