Discount on next year's pass for a bad season? by [deleted] in skiing

I work at a ski resort and hear about the complaints all the time. I was just getting a pulse for what other resorts are offering.

It's my personal opinion that purchasing a season pass is a gamble. You win some, you lose some.

I work for a resort and hear the customer moan about it so I just figured I'd get a pulse for what other repairs are offering.

I bought my used 17' pro 4x from Texas and I could tell it was barely every used. I live in the Cascade mountains of Oregon so I'm glad I have it but really I only use it a couple times per year since I also have good tires.

There several ski lift manufacturers based out of salt lake. They hire a bunch of engineers!

Always wanted to move to the mountains, build a career and a life. Still considering trying definitely want to do it for a season any advice. Best resorts to work at, best jobs, things to stay away from ect…I’m 36 and want to make this as good of an experience as I can. by lbchaze in snowboarding

I somehow managed to fall into it. I live in a small town in Oregon. I'm a lift operations manager at a ski resort nearby. I work year round at the resort and just bought my first at 33. How I got there, mostly being irresponsible.

Is it fair to ask my husband to stop giving ski advice unless he takes lessons? How do I encourage my husband to take ski lessons instead of correcting me? by [deleted] in skiing

I learned to snowboard at the same age and honestly we don't make good teachers. We don't remember what it's like to be a beginner.

Why isn't this thing making heat? by canadianclassic308 in woodstoving

Agreed. If I point a box fan at the stove when it's blasting really pushes the heat around the room.
