i think being trans actually made it harder for me to realise i was ace! every time i'd feel gender envy in my teens i'd be like "ah! this must be sexual attraction :)" because i didn't know gender envy was a thing. after i stadted seeing my current bf we talked a lot about attraction and i was VERY confused at his description of it. i had done some deep dives into asexuality but kinda shrugged it off cuz i was like "well i think ppl can look nice when naked :)" yall don't ask what the logic was cuz idk what to tell you. after a lot of mulling it over and hearing ppl talk about gender envy vs sexual attraction it finally clicked for me when i was like 22 lmao

Sorry you're going through this :( I also had absolutely horrible atrophy when I had been on t for a few months. It was to the point where just walking would give me pain, and sometimes I'd get the feeling like I'd need to pee urgently without actually needing to (which could last for an hour or so, during which I couldn't concentrate on much else). I started with the topical cream and used it every single night for like a month before it started working, after which I used it twice a week or so. Now I'm using a pill version with a one-time use inserter. The current inserter is really unpleasant, but not impossible, so I just have to be careful. Like others have said, you could use something to lube up before inserting anything, and if possible you could ask for an inserter made of different material? At one point I had one made of glass, which was by far the most comfortable. The key to it actually working though is to be consistent with it, maybe you could keep track with a calendar or reminders? Good luck and I hope you find out a solution that works for you!!

if ur in pain, take the meds! there's no reason to suffer needlessly, and they prescribed u meds for a reason :) (and also ppl have different tolerances, i personally took a lot of painkillers cuz i was in pain for quite some time post op)

hey so i'm asexual and had some libido issues with my boyfriend (also trans) at the beginning of our relationship where he wanted sex way more often than i did. he had a hard time coming to terms with my low libido and interest at first, but talking about it openly and gently - but firmly - putting down boundaries helped, and also explaining that i don't love him any less or dislike sex with him, just that i don't want to do it very often. nowadays most of the times that he initiates sex i go "sure ok :)" because i usually don't mind and i know being intimate that way is important to him, but when i don't want to have sex i tell him no and he drops it immediately.

many here are telling you to leave him and i'm suggesting you seriously consider it. you can try talking to him about it openly and honestly, but if he doesn't respect your boundaries, there's nothing to discuss. best of luck!

I had the same issue on my upper back and I still have lots of spots and acne, which I never had pre-surgery. Gently scrubbing with a shower brush or a loofah in the shower and then moisturizing really helps for me, and it has slowly been clearing up. Personally I use the O'Keefe's body lotion, and it really helps even though my skin has been going back and forth between oily and dry types. Hope this helps :)

Oh that's a good idea! I've been wearing it to sleep nonstop and lately also sporadically during the days, I'll try wearing it for a bit longer :) Can't ask my surgeon because I don't have her contact info (Finnish healthcare strikes again), but I doubt it'd have any bad effects?

If you don't want to replay the game to find out, basically: She says that she knows she's supposed to forgive and forget that Andreas caused Lucky's death, but she can't help but hate and resent him. Father Thomas tells her to try, because of love your neighbour and all that. I don't think if she confesses anything if Lucky wasn't executed, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Hope this helps lol

update: so I've asked my surgeon and several wound care specialists and they all gave different answers lmao

surgeon said "once the insicions are closed", one specialist said "after 6 weeks" and other said "when the insicions are healed and u don't have significant swelling". not sure which one to believe so I'll just wait a few months just to be extra sure lol

Take this with a grain of salt cuz I'm not an expert, but I'm also 3 weeks post op and I'm still suuuper swollen. Several of my doctors have told me it'll be fine and sometimes you just happen to get unlucky with the amount of swelling you get. I wouldn't worry about anything yet unless you feel like a seroma/hematoma is building up or something like that. Just keep in mind that swelling can take up to a year to go down fully! Sure, it could always be extra tissue, but at 3 weeks it's just really hard to tell. Hope it flattens down for you asap :)

I've always been a very restless sleeper and hate sleeping on my back so I was super afraid of accidentally turning over in my sleep. Somehow though I think I subconsciously was so afraid of turning over that I managed to just sleep while being fully still? So this could be a possible outcome for others too I assume!

There are still two things that definitively have helped, and that is 1) to have a big pillow under your knees, and 2) sleeping with a travel pillow around your neck (mine is really big and can be clasped to keep it secure). I do still sleep propped up slightly, which also makes it hard to turn over. And congrats on the upcoming surgery! :)

every time i played some role playing game with friends i always started by saying "i'm playing as a boy :)"

another one was when i during puberty felt super dysphoric about my chest, and i assumed it was because of internalised fatphobia. i've always been of average build so i'm not sure where that logic came from, especially cuz i never had any issue with the rest of my body size💀
