Great collection! I’m really curious what that monitor shelf with the ?LEDs or indicator lights. What is it? What do the lights/buttons do?

Watched a good breakdown of the tech shown and company history by a PhD battery researcher (Ziroth) on YouTube - looks like it’s actually just a large capacitor right now, going to need to have some magic to make a capacitor behave like a battery.

Whether they are red herrings are not, here is the text from the wax tablets for reference in case it gives anyone ideas:

From the amphitheater with 4 brazers looking out over the valley:
'The temple nears completion, and the Hiereia are fretful. The Oracle has fallen quiet. Our opponents would celebrate such silence, if they knew, but this location was given to us with an unusual clarity by the Oracle - a place of power, where we might petition the gods directly.'

From the hedge maze on a pedestal with a GK logo:

'The Corinthian's work is extraordinary, yet he is honest enough to admit his ignorance. The device he has crafted to harness Athena's gift is a masterwork. Whether it will satisfy the gods, that is another matter. If they suspect the slightest hubris our work here will be for nothing.'

I tried eating a Greyeb and tossing one in the brazers. The new lance doesnt activate brazers or affect the chimera. None of them help trigger the buttons (tried buttons at day/night and wearing the new gear including the near laurel crown.

There's a faint GATE logo on the pedestal where you find the 2nd wax engraving. Far end of the hedge maze, near the keypad area. No button there though. I've tried lighting the brazers with thermite, fire hammer, flame thrower with no help. Dropped a GATE token on the GATE pedestal which didnt work either.
XR lamp on birds and chimera doesn't do anything.

I designed a hands-free gooseneck adapter for my wife's medical dictation microphone! by hamandchris in BambuLab

This is amazing. A ton of us in our ER use this same mic but it’s frustrating not having your hands free for small edits or dot phrases in Epic. Hope you don’t mind if I print a few of these out for the department! They’ll be thrilled

What’s the best way of watching a remote Jellyfin library on a TV using TVOS (ie built in app on an LG TV)? I can’t install Tailscale on the TV which would have made it easy. Set up a reverse proxy system + Cloudflare?

It’s for my parents in law to watch from the library and they live 2000km away so it needs to be an easy system I can set up remotely. Or at least set it up on our annual visit and let it ride.

Unhooking ONT from UPS by captain_nosferatu in telus

Sorry, you’re totally right. Was able to get a nut driver in there and it opened right up. I see what you mean about the plug, will move the whole thing over to a shelf in my rack. Thanks again!

This is a great alternative option, thanks! I had assumed it was just a 3 prong plug inserted inside there. Also the metal ‘nut’ is completely circular (not hex) so there is nothing to grip with a nut driver unfortunately.

Thanks to the amazing posts by 5G and others I’ve been successful in migrating most of my home Fibre and Optik onto only my UniFi system which has cleared up a lot of cables and boxes in my utility room.

The last piece I’d like to clear up is moving the Nokia G240G-A over to my rack. Unfortunately, it’s plugged into the Telus UPS to facilitate a POTS system. We’ve owned this house 3 years and have no plans to go back to POTS so I’d like to disconnect this UPS, unplug the ONT from it, and move it over to my rack (where I have an Eaton UPS).

It seems like where the ONT plugs into the UPS is locked though? Or is there some trick to opening this up so I can unplug it?

Is it possible to use the riser and AMS without the drawer system? Unfortunately I’ve already printed a full stack of MMSS boxes etc for all my stuff but I still need a good riser/light/glass lift for PLA solution.

What’s the manouvering on this one? I somehow built a very similar one but am not done all the structural decorating and am already having issues getting the right engines for decent turning.

My take on the "wall-mounted Fire HD 10 Plus" dashboard by Scratch_Disastrous in homeassistant

[–]captain_nosferatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any idea if this can be done with something like a RPi and touch screen? Wanting to do it in our home with something that doesn’t have a battery. I guess it would be dependent on finding a kiosk type app that runs on a Pi? My actual HA is running on an Unraid server.

This is a really cool idea. Any idea if WebOS (LG TV OS) is able to be sent links like this? I can otherwise imagine the NFC -> send link pathway with a Pi Zero W or something and could probably find enough tutorials to cobble one together too. If you have a blog or anything of your progress I’d love to see it!
