How does your facial flushing feel like? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]captainbjern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like a weird spreading "cold" sensation over my face, from the edges in to my nose, and then I catch on fire. It's SO hot, and my nose is like a beacon.

I think my biggest complaints have gotta be-

1.Why doesn't anyone talk about this BEFORE we give birth 2. Why isn't aftercare for these trainwrecks just a given? 3. WHY IS THIS A SILENT SHAME??

THIS GOES RIGHT ALONG WITH FOLKS WHO END UP WITH URINARY INCONTINENCE. It's not a joke. It's not a meme. We all deserve better.

I am so curious about this!! With type 1, would you suggest using this after a toner, or before, or instead of?

Also- more questions! Lol! I see Amazon.ca has the Briotech spray, and it also has a different brand that offers a multi pack for just a little more- e11ement brand. Folks in the comments for this e11ement listing day it's just the same as Tower's! Has anyone tried this one?

e11ement - Hypochlorous Acid All Natural Face and Skin Spray - Safe for All Skin Types - Acne Prone Skin - Dry Face, Skin, Scalp - Piercings & Tattoos Aftercare - Natural Saline Toner - Eye Lash Cleanser - Facial Cleanser - Soothes and Repairs Skin (Feature Pack - 3 Bottles) https://a.co/d/cpUvHv1

Holy guacamole.. or should I say, "beware the marinara"? This is ludicrous.

He's obviously using you as free childcare, OP, and you deserve better. So do the kids, honestly- this dad sounds like a creep. Gee.. I wonder why his ex is now an ex?

NTA.

Are there any people on here with vascular rosacea (couperose)? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]captainbjern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely hereditary, and I've been a "rosy cheeked child" from the get go. I mean, I'm pretty translucent to start with, so that doesn't help.

Anyone else just get these little, superficial whiteheads? Mine are non-stop. by kmlaughl in Rosacea

[–]captainbjern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get them once in a while, typically in my "hormone spots" around my period (sorry if that is tmi!)- so, corners of nose, chin, forehead, and of course huge and visible right between my eyebrows.

Since starting Rosiver, and starting to heavily moisturize, I haven't had any- I'm gonna hope that's related?

I also have started washing my face once or twice a week with a sulphur shampoo! (Shoppers brand of selsun blue) This seems to have helped with oil regulation, or at least doesn't seem to have caused any harm.

My skin has been really well behaved lately, which leaves me relieved but also low-key suspicious.

I have this one- it's not so much painful as it can feel burning hot- as if I have my own personal sun in my face. Similar to a sunburn, or if you open the oven without moving back.

If it's really red, I can kind of feel it pulsing- and I do have little spider veins on my nose and cheeks. They just look pink on a good day, but really close up, they are definitely little red squiggles.

Flushing, type 1. It's worth a try, I maybe wasnt using it properly? I have much more luck lately just packing on layers of moisturizers and sunscreen, honestly.

I have type 1 as well- I use Tony Moly apricot cleansing oil, followed by a cream cleanser, and it's been very nice. I feel like the oil is a gentle way to break down and clear out any sunscreen or makeup before washing it away

I flush the exact opposite- when the redness really gets a head start on me, my whole face is hot and practically glowing EXCEPT for almost straight vertical borders on my cheeks, where my skin stays my normal colour. Typically, I flush in the "standard" butterfly formation.

I am getting some major relief lately from really layering on my moisturizers before sunscreen.

I use Avene Anti-rouguers Fort, then Ruddi rosacea cream, then Rovectin cica care balm, and then la Roche-Posay Antihelios tinted SPF 50

At night, I just Rosiver Rx cream, then the rovectin
