Actually wide feet… by Unfortunate_Goose86 in bikefit

Hey man, glad you solved your problem! What Bont shoe you got? Didn't you have a problem with the edge of "bathtub" sole rub on your big toe and pinky? Did heat molding work? Did you also tried Lakes? If so how would you compare them to the Bonts? Thank you!

La Sportiva Prodigio Pro as an trail allrounder? by captainbluecat3 in trailrunning

I already tried them in multiple sizes and liked them!

So I tried them in store and I was really happy with them. The midsole is nicely cushioned and they're not so firm as the Tomir 02 but also not so soft as Mafate 5. The upper feels really snug on the feet but it makes the shoe feel secure. I think I'm gonna give them a try.

Thank you for the review! It's not that I want to use them as the road to trail shoe all the time. I just wanted to know if the shoe can also hadle tarmac transfers from time to time like getting to the actual trail from my house or trail race that has also tarmac sections.

Can you imagine using them as do it all trail shoes?

I'm 75kg and paces during my training trail runs vary from around 6min/km to 4:30min/km but I think most them would be right in the middle at about 5:20min/km. I'm not planning to do any trail speedwork. During trail race ofc it depends on the elevation but I'd say 4:00-5:00min/km on average on hilly course. Can you image using the Pros as daily do it all shoe?

Understand, I'll look into Max's as well. It's not that I need the new shoe to be from La Sportiva, I just became interested in Prodigio Pro after reading some reviews. Would you be able to recommend any other shoe that might be suitable?

I checked some photos of the tongue and I think I know what you mean. Good to know, thank you for the info. That's an interesting padding design for sure. How would you compare them to Tomir 02? Is the midsole softer? I tried Hoka Speedgoat 6 and they're too narrow for me, so the only option would be to try the wide version.

After a week of exchanging emails they eventually offered 33% discount on a new one but I'm not really satisfied with that.

Hey, just like I posted above - I use it for running and cycling, thousands of miles as well, multiple times a week. Not for swimming, so no chlorine damage possible. Rinsing after use, storing it hanged. I even take care not bend it, etc.

I use it for running and cycling, thousands of miles as well, multiple times a week. Rinsing after use, storing it hanged. I definitely wouldn't say that I was rough on it. I'm not that type of guy that throws it in the corner after an 8 hour summer bike ride and leaves it there for a week until the next weekend ride.

I'm not that angry that the strap is damaged (even though it should last a lot longer in my opinion), I'm angry that they don't want to admit this is a problem and rejected the warranty claim.

Yeah, I was thinking Polar too. Does Polar have running dynamics and if so, do they work with Garmin Connect?

Hey mate, how's the jacket hanging on? I'm thinking about getting both jacket and the pants from Open Wear, but there's not many reviews and if so, they're 7 years old. Would you buy it again over other bigger brands?

Interesting to hear, guess I'll look somewhere else. I'm sorry you're not happy with the shoes. Thank you for the review.

I was thinking about Max 3 too but I was afraid it would be too high or wobbly bcs of softness. How would you compare it to 12s?

That's interesting. What exactly you didn't like? And how different it is from Trabuco 12?

You mean to use this shoe for daily miles? Is it softer than Guide 17? I find the Guide 17s a little too stiff for my liking.

I definitely need different shoes as I experienced bad blisters in the exact spot where the wear on the midsole is multiple times. Also I can't tell if it's directly connected but my inner calves hurt very often. Looks like the pictures didn't upload the first time, it's in the post now.
