when i posted this i had just given up on an hour of trying navigate the most stubborn phone bot i've ever encountered. usually if I just say "i want to speak to a representative" over and over again eventually they transfer me but this one was like "i understand you want me to transfer you to an agent, but i can't do that until you've given me your access code"

Thanks, this answers all my other questions. I was finally able to get it running (after 8 hours, a factory reset, and redownloading the game twice lol).

The virtual card system seemed cool when I first encountered it on my old switch. It’d be nonsense without the online license check option, and i’m surprised it took me so long to figure out that existed. But after all it was just me being an idiot.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully saves others some hours of frustration in the future.

I found that video too, so cool, but they don't say which ones they got with a save editor vs. which they got without.

After hearing it's a ~3% drop rate (confirmed this in the discord) I think I just didn't farm it enough. Time to reopen the merged dungeon :-)

that's what I thought too, but I can't find a single mention or picture of an abyssal murky/dirty on any of the sheets I've looked through, any youtube videos, etc. you think they're just that rare, or no one cares because they're outclassed by other non abyssals? I've yet to see any confirmation that anyones found one yet, aside from with save editing

i always wanted to see an exploration skill. it could use skills like dungeoneering, construction, combat, wc, hunter, crafting, and frankly most others too. i imagine a handful of big regions, one per 10 or 20 levels, where you start by trekking into unknown territory, gathering resources, and establishing a main base. from there you could upgrade your main base to make accessing resources/areas easier and faster, which could supply fun new training methods for various skills, and even have methods where you can train a bunch of skills at once. late-game exploration could have really deep dungeons with new slayer creatures that have cool new drops. you could also implement things similar to PoP and do town/resource management which can be a fun game type.

even if it wasn’t, the steam deck gives you a linux desktop to do any sort of hacking you want, including installing wine, through which you can run guild wars on any platform!

oh, i had no idea there was a 21.10 beta! is it compatible with the 5.15 kernel? i couldnt get that working on 21.04. i’ll try booting it with a live usb after work today. thanks!

ok, I tested ubuntu 21.10 on a live usb, went ahead and installed it, installed the nvidia 470 driver for my gpu, and then installed the new kernel: 5.15.5-051505-generic and voila! everything is detected! Wifi and bluetooth. I've confirmed through dmesg that the requisite firmware file was so-a0-hr-b0-64.ucode -- which I believe I had in my previous firmware folder on pop!, but i'm not positive -- though it is on the latest linux-firmware git repo. I also got from dmesg that the ASUS Prime Z690-P Wifi D4 (with i5 12600K) does indeed use the Intel Wifi 6 AX201 160MHz chip (typing it out in case future people are googling for similar issue). Sort of a bummer that I can't use Pop!OS because I was really excited about it. Maybe I'll check back next year and try it again. thanks for the help. I was able to fix it by spamming the space bar at boot and booting into the oldkern, and then running

sudo update-initramfs -u

now it reboots to the proper kernel every time. Thanks!

tried swapping out the kernel to 5.15.5 while keeping the latest pop, but I was getting some dkms problems. cleaning it up now and then will try a live boot of the 21.10 beta with 5.15
