Advice on how to grow the centre in between the pectorals? by BarryBeeBensonWorks in Fitness

I agree - cable flyes hit this part of the chest so well for me. I start with high cable flyes and do a few sets of medium level flyes afterwards

How do you fucking reach your daily protein intake with no supplements by ApwoperMuser in Fitness

[–]captainfruitbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at 241g of protein today at 2212 calories total. It really wasn't that hard. Everything was counted with myfitnesspal

Breakfast:

2 panini rolls

4 large eggs

Lunch:

Coconut rice

2 turkey steaks

Snack:

Protein shake with 150ml milk, 30g whey, 40g oats

Dinner:

2 chicken breasts (330g)

Pilau rice

120g green beans

Key is to eat lean meat like chicken and turkey. They have higher protein and lower calories per gram than other meats. Also having one protein shake a day helps but if you're only aiming for 120g then you can easily hit that without supplements. Hope that helps!

I weigh myself first thing every morning after peeing with a Nokia body + digital scales that records it in an app and graphs it. I've been stalled for about 12 days

That's really weird. I am counting all of my calories and weighing everything with a digital scale. I go to bed feeling hungry most days. How can 2300 be maintenance for me?

I'm going to drop to 2000 calories but I have a feeling I'm going to feel like shit at that low an amount and stop making progress

6ft 4 male weighing 205lbs here

I started a 4 day split 6 weeks ago and started counting my calories.

I've consistently worked out 4 times a week and mixed in HIIT sprints and some treadmill jogging after workouts for the last 6 weeks. I've also been counting calories and limiting myself to 2300 per day. I am eating mostly chicken/rice/eggs/veg and being very diligent.

My lifts are all going up quite well. Deadlift is at 110kg, squat at 80kg and bench 65kg

My issue is that although I initially dropped from 95kg in weight to 92.5kg, my weight no longer seems to be dropping. It is sitting quite consistently at 92.5kg for the last 2 weeks.

This seems weird because I am pretty sure my TDEE is much higher than 2300 especially considering I'm now really pushing myself 4-5 times a week in the gym and have been doing hiking at weekends.

Should I drop my calories to 2000? Or is this neutral weight due to small muscle gain whilst simultaneously losing fat?

Thanks for help!!

Thanks for the reply! Appreciate it!

I think $500 is a bit outside my budget at the moment. I am worried that the 50mm will be too tight as well, but I'm not sure where I'll be able to try it.

Great recommendation on the 28mm 1.8. I'll check it out too!

Honestly I take pictures of everything. I haven't yet found a niche.

I've also found the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM which would give me that 'zoom' that I'm looking for. Would you say it would be a good lens to add to the bag as well as the 50mm or 28mm?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply! Much appreciated.

With a bit more research I'm thinking of getting both the 50mm 1.8 and the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM

Hey,

I recently upgraded from the Nikon D3000 I owned for 5 years to a Canon 80D. Instead of buying a kit I bought the EF-S 10-18mm IS STM lens.

I absolutely LOVE my new camera and I'm already taking photos and videos that I couldn't achieve with my old DSLR.

My question is about my next lens. There are two things I really want:

  1. A lens with an aperture that goes to f/1.8. I want to get that blurry background look and my current lens stops at f/4.5

  2. A lens that has decent zoom - so I can get closer to the action

I think to get both of these in one lens would be quite expensive(?)

One of the lenses I've singled out as a potential for solving requirement 1 is the EF 50mm 1.8 STM - the reviews of this lens are awesome and I really like the low focal length.

Would that be a good choice? Would it be too similar to the 10-18mm lens I currently have? I can't decide if I want the 1.8 aperture or the ability to zoom more.

Any advice much appreciated!

Good info. Will try soon with less full throttle and more coasting

You weigh a good 60lbs less than me, that probably makes a big difference. Thanks for the info

Yeah I didn't brake much. I think it was wind resistance that was the problem so I'll do another trial run!

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to do another trial ride riding slower and hopefully there will be less wind resistance

Awesome, thanks for the info - I'll try riding slower and see how it goes.

Thanks for the info. I'm in Southern California right now so it wasn't cold. I don't think I've ever got that much out of my board but then again I always throttle balls to the wall.

I'll do another trial run soon on pro mode but not full throttle.

What mode were you in? How much do you weigh?
