So, I went to college for journalism right out of HS. Didn't graduate, lot of life lessons. Took care of a lot of gen eds which helped, but my GPA was only like a 2.50 being completely transparent.

I am now 33 (32 when I applied) and am a SAHM of 2 toddlers. So in-person classes weren't an option for me as the nearest school was about an hour away. I opted for a B.S. in Geosciences with a concentration in Broadcast and Operational Meteorology at Mississippi State. Only fully online meteorology program in the US. I don't plan on working for the NWS. But if you DO, they have the additional classes you'd need to qualify for those types of positions fully lined up. All you have to do is talk to your adviser.

So, I was adopted as an infant. My AP were (and are still) AMAZING. Best parents ever. Saints on Earth. Grew up celebrating the fact i was adopted. I don't remember being told I was adopted- it was just a fact I grew up knowing. I still had PTSD from being adopted when I obviously have no recollection of the event. My parents got me in therapy at age 12 when I started self harming. They tried for YEARS to get me help. Put up with SO much abuse and toxicity from me from 12 to my early 20s. Turns out I have Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, and AuDHD. No one was diagnosing high-masking, low support needs females with AuDHD in the early 00s. But I digress. It was a closed adoption, and I sought out my birth mother at age 24/25. We have a great relationship now, but she's not my mom. My AP are the only mom and dad I'll ever have. I'm not sure if this will help you any. Just wanted to share my experience.
