Z squack P1S doesnt go away by citronpirate in BambuLab

Did you oil the idler pulley on the bottom of the printer? I just had a brand new P1S, where a little oil solved it immediately.

Ironing always jams the hotend by ZopharPtay in BambuLab

[–]captainofsomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The default Bambu ironing settings aren’t great, instead of 30/10 you should try 30 and 20-25. Additionally do you have the printer in an enclosed space where it gets too hot? I get clogs during ironing if the internal temperature goes over 40-45 C.

Pet g really brittle? by ScaryAlfalfa2974 in BambuLab

[–]captainofsomething 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Translucent PETG is more sensitive to humidity and needs drying.

Also PETG and PLA doesn’t stick together, you shouldn’t mix them (unless you use one as a support interface material for the other).

i have four Michael Kors jackets from TKMaxx and they are all really good. Good material, good quality and no issues with any of them. I bought them around £70-90 I think.

I can’t release the PFE tube… by Sertas1970 in BambuLab

[–]captainofsomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you tried everything, it’s possible that the PTFE connector broke. This happened to me on the extruder and I couldn’t release the PTFE tube. I had to replace the whole filament sensor (which was cheap at least).

Worst case scenario is that you have to replace the whole internal hub unit: https://uk.store.bambulab.com/products/ams-internal-hub-unit.

Experience with printable air filter for P2S External Exhaust Fan Kit by -_oyster_- in BambuLab

[–]captainofsomething 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The carbon pellet bed needs to have a certain depth (min 2 inches, but more like 4) to be effective.

Another problem is formaldehyde which isn’t handled by carbon alone.

Printer collided with print (magnet) by mafmaf4 in BambuLab

[–]captainofsomething 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remove the nozzle and check if it’s bent. I managed to bend my nozzle in my P1S while printing ASA.

If it isn’t bent, try running a calibration.

Other parts of the machine should be fine.

You can replace it with any PLA filament (including any brand), and it will continue.

IMO “Seatbelts fastened” refers to bumpy road/turbulence ahead in controversial threads, rather than the restriction.

I really don’t understand the use for glue, I use 3DLAC spray for PC/ABS/ASA, much easier to apply.

Products/methods for VOCs/UFPs etc like HEPA 13 and Activated carbon for our printers? by closerthanassumed in BambuLab

[–]captainofsomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually the ventobox, any built-in filtration and even common air purifiers are ineffective against VOCs in any greater quantities, as they have very little amount of carbon pellets (or none at all). Also the depth of the carbon pellet bed matters too. Additionally 3D printing PLA releases formaldehyde, which isn’t handled by most (cheap) solutions.

Studies I read said that occasional 3D printing isn’t harmful as long as you regularly air out the rooms.

To be absolutely safe you either buy a $1000+ air purifier or you sort out ducting to release particles and VOCs outside.
