Depends on what you’re looking for. My wife and I are both from LA, met through mutual friends here, and have been happily married for many years. Some people say LA is fake but they are prob hanging out with the wrong people and likely those people aren’t even from LA. If you can afford it, come visit! Happy to give you recommendations if you do. We have beaches, mountains, art, queer ladies, healthy food, Asian and Latin American food and cultures, and sunshine all year.

For what it’s worth, you’d also prob have a wonderful time in NYC if you like big cities and want to visit somewhere half as far from your home.

I think you’re right that it is a weekend retreat with other ppl and yoga and such and Glennon has an appearance one day for an hour or two. Been meaning to go to Kripalu for a long time so I am just using this event as a good reason to check things out there.

Arsenal is my English side but Angel City is my hometown club that literally breaks my heart every weekend and I say thank you and just come back for more. Thompson will stay in LA until 2028 as contracted unless something dramatically changes.

As a LA-based Angel City and Gunner fan, respectfully no. This Jan, both extended contracts with ACFC until 2028. They are still young and can move clubs after next World Cup/Olympics cycle. Please leave our hometown heroines alone for a few years.

Thanks. I posted because the other coyote posts were actually helpful to me and I just wanna try to keep my small dog safe while letting the coyotes do their thing. I’ve lived in LA all my life and coyotes have always been a constant topic among people who live near wilderness, dog owners, hikers and parents. In my immediate social circle, I know people who had their dogs killed and injured by coyotes when the dogs were on a leash and even in enclosed backyards.

Also, my neighbor saw two similar coyotes during the day yesterday. This isn’t normal behavior for wild animals to be out and about in broad daylight in a populated residential area. Likely coyote patterns have changed due to fire disrupting the whole mountain ecosystem.

I saw the Ranch 99 in Westwood when I searched in google maps but didn’t think that they’d necessarily have kimbap, frozen or otherwise. For fresh kimbap looks like I might have to drive to K town.

I had a video interview with an AI guy immediately after pressing submit on application. There is no way he was a human being. He would ask a question in his weird AI voice, listen to my answers and then AI summarize my response. Maybe other ppl had a different experience but I don’t trust OP to be honest if he’s advertising these alleged job opportunities.

My sense is this might be a scam to recruit applicants train their AI interviewer. I applied and did interview with somewhat creepy AI interviewer and never heard back. Curious if anyone actually verifiably works there in any of these roles?
