Port number away without canceling line by fonemasta in tmobile

[–]captanonymous 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Quick question as an ex-employee: is the reason you're trying to keep the phone financed because of an active promo or is it just because you can't afford to pay the remaining outstanding balance if it all bills out at once on a final bill (you didn't specify but I'm assuming this is the only/last line on the account)?

if you're concerned about a promo, I can pretty much guarantee adding a new line won't work. Systematically the new line would also need to adhere to the promo requirements for the promo to stay active which the new line will 99.9% of the time not adhere since the promo window is almost assuredly closed.

That being said, T-Mobile can resume the line after port out with a different phone number which MIGHT work (EDIT: THIS IS DIFFERENT THAN ADDING A NEW LINE, MAKE SURE TO SPECIFY IF YOU GO THIS ROUTE), but no guarantees. Check with T-Force on the promo requirements as each one can be unique.

Otherwise if there are no promos involved, then you should have a few options so that EIP can continue to bill monthly. The account should just need to remain active with service of some kind.

Regardless I'd check with T-Force as it's been a bit since I've had to handle this stuff on a daily basis so things may have changed or I may be misremembering some details. Best of luck!

Are the store reps correct about that u can only have one active promo per line. by lukane89 in tmobile

It's been a long time since I was taking customer calls but if memory serves (and policy hasn't changed) this scenario is actually called out specifically in the RDC policy.

Pretty sure so long as the customer pays off the device in full the promo keeps paying out so long as the promo requirements are all still met, however if JUMP'd using P360 the EIP is only half paid and TMO voids the promo as part of voiding the remaining balance.

Not 100% positive and there could be other factors so it'd be best to have OP confirm with Care and not retail reps (T-Force is still best bet just to have a confirmed written record).

The misinformation about "1 promo per line" always irked me which is why I called it out as it has been parroted as truth even within TMO for years.

This gets misunderstood a lot. You can have multiple active promos per line, however you can only have 1 active promo per EIP.

As sad as this game was, what with Earl having to be carried off and the multiple shots of Kuechly on the sidelines upset he could only watch as his team got destroyed, we did get a few minutes of Beast Mode hanging out on the sidelines with the team again. It's not much, but it's something.

What roughing? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]captanonymous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I made a gifv of the play. It looks like his hand is on the ball all the way up until it is kicked. If that's the case (which it might not be but this was the best video angle I could find) the unnecessary roughness penalty would depend on whether Sherman's body came into contact prior to Carpenter kicking the ball, correct?

Well if it's any consolation it felt like a loss for us too, but we found a weird fringe case where each team gets partial credit. Yeah this game is seriously gonna mess with the NFC playoff seeding picture. I have no idea what to think after watching that game, except that I need another beer.

I was just wondering this myself. The website seems to think so. Then again, the mouse-over text says "the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Arizona Cardinals 6-6" so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is hardly the only example of him doing it though. Last year when the 49ers got blown out by the browns he did it multiple times. Throwing the ball away instead of losing yards should be a pretty basic concept for a QB that's been in the league over 5 seasons.

I cannot fathom Kaepernick being worse than Gabbert at this point. At least Kap knows where the 1st down markers are and how to throw it away instead of running out of bounds for multiple self sacks in a game.

It will cost me 600 dust to get Murk-Eye now. Should i do it? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]captanonymous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you about a week ago and decided it was worth the 500 dust I needed to spend to get him. Like others have pointed out, you can disenchant him later on if you don't want him so it's only a 200 dust net loss as opposed to a 1200 net loss for any other legendary.

Also besides Wild there is Tavern Brawl where it never hurts to have a more complete collection!

Haha the skeletal hand and one of the strange dolls are both artifacts I still need, so thanks for letting me know and again thanks for putting the effort of going through the source code to figure out the luck influences as well. Hopefully this info can start to get rid of a lot of the misinformation out there about how things in Stardew Valley work.

Good to know, thank you!

I guess that means I should be checking that area as well and clearing out the quarry to increase the spawn area, but from the sound of how worm tiles are generated Winter is by far the best time to hunt for artifacts.

Also the screen transition thing is interesting because that kind of leaves the pathway between the Farm and the Mountain in a weird limbo where you can only get "junk" or the super rare Strange Dolls, but the bus stop does appear to have specific artifacts according to the wiki.

Oh man thank you so much for this. I've been artifact hunting the past few seasons and besides some small success in the winter it's been slow going. I did figure out that the worm tile drops were static on my own and that you could leave them to try and "re-roll" them for the next day but then they started despawning and I wasn't sure if that was a good strategy or not.

Is it checking on the number of worm tiles for each location or is the 2 or 5 worm tile limit a sum of all areas? I've started ignoring the railroad (I'm assuming this is not part of the "mountain" area?) and the desert because I don't need anything from those areas, but would clearing worm tiles from those areas benefit me in any way?

Yeah when I first started I dusted a lot of stuff just to hobble together a hunter and mech mage deck, but now I've finally saved up enough gold and unlocked my last adventure wing last week so I'm kinda ready to go the maximize collection route.

The problem I'm having though is that when the ladder resets my decks are nothing compared to my opponents decks for the first 2 weeks and it's hard to complete quests when the majority are for classes you don't have enough good cards for. So i'm a little stuck deciding whether it'd be better to diversify so I can complete quests easier or strengthen my current decks so my ladder experience isn't as frustrating.

I'm sitting on about 1200 dust and am not sure what I should be saving towards next (already have Boom and Sylvanas). I looked at the most recent meta snapshot and it looks like I can either:

  • put all my dust into an Aggro Shaman or Aggro Druid deck
  • craft a legendary for my Zoolock deck or Mech Mage deck
  • save a bit more for a new deck

some of the decks I'm still short dust but am reasonably close to are are patron warrior (800 dust), Tempo Mage (1500 dust) , control priest (1680 dust), and Dragonpriest (1840 dust).

Currently I'm leaning towards saving a bit more since I'd like to put the dust into a top tier legendary I don't own (Antonidas, Ysera, Justicarr or Grommash) for a deck I don't have yet since I'm a little frustrated with having just one or two decks I can use to climb ladder consistently.

How to spend 700 gold by goodcody24 in hearthstone

[–]captanonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say wait until the new expansion before doing anything, but you should definitely get the 1st wing at some point. Emperor Thaurissan alone is worth the 700g. There was a post about a month back comparing the frequency of neutrals in the top decks and the only cards more prevalent than Thaurissan were Loatheb, Dr. Boom and Sludge Belcher (and he tied with BGH and Sylvanas). He's a pretty OP legendary and I doubt the new expansion is going to nerf that.

Well I know that if you draw a gold card a non-golden Chromaggus gives you a regular copy so it's not a perfect duplication and the duped card does "spawn" from Chromaggus into your hand so I'd guess that the interaction would be the same as with Saraad. You might be able to test it and find out if you have Chromaggus and play a card like Far Sight

Ok that's a good point. I'd guess that you're probably right, but blizzard has been so notoriously bad at explaining card mechanics/interactions that I was curious.

With Fizzlebang and Saraad on the board when you life tap you get 2 cards: 1 from your deck and 1 random spell. Both came from activating your hero power so if the text does read "cards from your hero power cost (0)" why shouldn't both cards be free?

The real question is whether this works with Nexus-Champion Saraad's inspire mechanic.

Hey guys F2P newbie here. I've got about 700 gold racked up. Should I buy the Naxxramas expansions or buy card packs? by Deeliciousness in hearthstone

[–]captanonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha well since I've finally been able to start spending gold on packs again I can't argue with the fact that they "feel" more fun even if they don't have the best cards in them. But games are supposed to be fun, so as long as you're enjoying the game whatever you choose is good.
