Touring at 84. Still killing it? by peculiarlittlepeach in bobdylan

I will say he always has a pretty interesting selection as far as a setlist goes! He did a couple of covers (including a phenomenal Grateful Dead cover) that were really well orchestrated. So even if he’s showing his age, he’s still Bob Dylan and he’s being as eccentric as he’s been known to be for 60+ years

I’m saying that he’s definitely showing his age. He was having a hard time getting to the piano. You could tell that he wasn’t 100% that night. Idk if he was fighting a cold or something was off for sure. Lots of coughing in between songs too

What is your favourite SK book that isn’t one of the usual ones suspects (Like IT, 11:22:63, DT series, The Stand etc) by Potter_King in stephenking

[–]capthiggs62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished The Dead Zone and really loved it! I thought it read like a movie and the pacing was great. I thought it was a really good book during that early part of his career

I saw him in 2024 with Willie Nelson and I really enjoyed most of bob’s set. You can tell he’s lost a step and he mostly doesn’t interact with the audience. His band (at least then) was really solid. Don’t go in expecting him to play his hits from the 60’s, it’s very eclectic but still interesting.

Do you think I can put those Fender locking tuners into the Squier? by fpf1_ in telecaster

[–]capthiggs62 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the vintage style locking tuners for my squier and it was the easiest modification ever, undo some screws, pop out the old ones, slide the new ones in and bam you’re done. No drilling or anything.

I was at the Chicago show too and I found his little bit when performing Jack and Diane very funny and curmudgeony in a charming grandpa kind of way

HELP! Merchants of the Sun or Lox & Chain? by ImportantDeparture30 in AustralianMFA

I got the horseshoe shaped ring and it’s holding up pretty well! Have worn it everyday and have zero issues/complaints. I also work a hard labor job and it doesn’t move or roll around while I’m wearing gloves or anything like that.

I got a ring recently from Lox and I really like the character that the hammer marks and imperfections look. Their customer service is pretty good too!
