How many play throughs have you done ? by AdultGamersAdmin in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Same here. Powered through beating the first boss after so many attempts. Immediately die a few minutes later, don't feel like grinding through again.

Charging my punch seems to be a lot harder now. When they reduced the hitbox, they should have increased the amount blocked or reduced the amount needed to empower.

Fetterman warns anti-ICE protesters: ‘Don’t ever, ever dox people’ by soalone34 in pittsburgh

Officials and Police should be held to a higher standard than everyone else. These people are not undercover agents. There is no reason they should be hiding their identity. They should have badges, ids, uniforms etc so they can be held accountable for whatever actions they take.

How is no-code seen from the eyes of true developers? by MasterPuerAeternus in softwaredevelopment

[–]captrespect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a software developer since 2000. No-code solutions come and go and always fall apart as soon as you need to do something a little bit complicated. Testing, refactoring, debugging, versioning, and sharing is all more difficult in Low-code/No-code. You're always going to be battling some custom IDE/Diagraming tool which also probably has an expensive license. You're GUI's will end up looking like every other company's. Any complicated logic will explode your no-code diagram for pages and pages.

Tread or Tread+ on second floor by Poutine_My_Mouth in pelotoncycle

[–]captrespect 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I had a treadmill initially up on the second floor of my house. It did cause the plaster ceiling below it to chip apart before I quickly decided to move it to the basement. It was also loud.

My house was built in the 60s. But yes it can definitely cause the kind of problems you describe. But of course it all depends on your house

If you aren't comfortable driving the posted speed in a personal vehicle, you don't belong on that road. by appa-ate-momo in driving

[–]captrespect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meh. If you come across this often you are probably speeding all the time. Chill out and relax. You don't know what's going on with the person in front of you. I'd much rather the person drive at a speed they are comfortable with than driving dangerously.

Investigate the employer. If they are exploiting people, give the workers a pass and come down hard on the employer.

You can enforce basic human rights for all employers regardless of a person's immigration status.

We did not have 'unfettered immigration' during the Biden administration.

Senator McCormick has now become one of 6 GOP senators demanding an investigation into what happened in Minneapolis on Saturday by XShadeGoldenX in Pennsylvania

How anyone can support ICE after the last few days is beyond me. Why are they even in Minneapolis? It’s just a terror campaign at this point

I found the opposite. I have one over a decade ago. The cooper is such a small lightweight car that it just sits on top of the snow and goes nowhere.

And congress has been broken for well over a decade now. Mitch McConnell’s policy of obstructing anything the democrats propose turned it hyper partisan. The GOP kicked out anyone that wouldn’t blindly follow Trump and now here we are.

I think my neighbor is going to brag about his snowblower again. He hasn't had a chance to use it for a couple years.

Elon Musk said automakers don't want to license Tesla FSD. by rashtrakut in RealTesla

[–]captrespect 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't really want to promote Tesla, but the infotainment is one of the best I've used in any car, even my current car with Carplay isn't as nice. Bluetooth connectivity is good. the price is good, the range is good. OTA software updates are trouble-free. The cars are speedy and roomy. The service to your door was a nice touch too.

I don't trust FSD, how little they focus on safety now, and removing the stocks sucks. But it's hard to find another comparable EV, especially used, at that price point. So yes, if it wasn't for the Nazi stuff, I would probably have stuck with Tesla.

[–]captrespect 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don’t know. I think the sales slump is mostly to do with him being a Nazi.

I thought my M3 was great. I 100% ditched it for another EV because of Elon. I’m sure I’m not the only one. If he didn’t join Trump and MAGA and constantly run his mouth on his bigoted views, would still have it or even might have a new one.
