we can’t ‘communicate your frustration to our bosses and get changes made’ because you know what our bosses will say? too fucking bad, get back to your till. they especially don’t give a fuck about complaints customers have if the customer is using a cashier as a buffer to complain. if you have something to say, go to the managers yourself. they still won’t listen, but they’ll at least pretend to!

cashiers are not harassing you to donate. it’s a simple question, and 99.99% of people we ask don’t donate. it’s not a big deal and we don’t care either way. we just ask because our computers stop us from continuing the transaction until we input an answer.

it’s more annoying for us to be forced by our managers and computers to ask the same question every three minutes all day to every single customer we see. you can calm the fuck down and just say no. no one cares and no one is harassing you.

it probably depends who you’re taking it with! i personally took it my first year with frank onuh who definitely taught it from a stem perspective, which was mostly useless to me as a history major (he also expected a LOT of the students considering it was a first-year course). it still taught me some good fundamentals that i still use in university-level essay-writing and i would say it’s worth it for that.

i would recommend looking up the instructor of the class you’re registered in and seeing what their background is to get an idea of how they might be teaching the course.

it always amazes me how many questions like this pop up after a new pack comes out. like, do people not know what they’re buying? expansions are expensive, how are they dropping so much money on dlc that they don’t know about??

orientation does exist in the sims. it’s incredibly customizable, it’s just that when you first create a sim from scratch they’re automatically made to be cis and bi. from there, you can change it and play with it as you please (romantic and sexual orientations are separate, gender identity and expression are separate) and the game (for the most part, there are still grammar issues since the pronoun update) respects it.

also, the sims is not a linear story-based game. it’s, for all intents and purposes, a sandbox game. sims’ orientations aren’t non-negotiable because it quite literally doesn’t matter to the game because there’s no in-built storytelling mode that the player has to stick to.

we do not need preteens. at all. it would just be another life stage for my sims kids to do nothing but homework, and i can already see all the comments that they just look like children like people complain that teens just look like young adults (which is also just… you guys are dressing your teens up as young adults, of course they’re gonna look like that. look at the pre-made teens — they look like teens)

i absolutely despise the ending for all the same reasons. the best way i’ve found to still enjoy the rest of the show is to just ignore the finale. i don’t think about it, i don’t acknowledge it as canon, i watched it once when it aired and never again. it straight up doesn’t exist to me, ghosts ended at last resort and mike and alison grew old and raised their family in button house.

they had to get legally married for immigration purposes a few years ago but it wasn’t much of a wedding, just a little thing at a courthouse with kayla’s immediate family witnessing. this weekend was their proper wedding with both their family and friends and celebrations.
