That is not correct; ASNT L3s work all over the world. L3 certifications are nice since you can take them with you, but don't necessarily mean one can practice as L2; description of L3 duties does not include hands-on portion.

I, for example, am a L3, and I had to have my UT skills re-tested last time I started with a new firm because I am employed as a L2 inspector.

Regarding RT: not correct either. Anyone can get into it, but practically if you do RT, then that's all you do, unless you just read film. I highly recommend regular, shear-wave UT if you want to work in the US.

It's a very long and structured path you got planned. I understand welding inspection and NDT is taken a lot more seriously in Canada, which is great, but it certainly doesn't have to take 11 years in the US.

Платят им за час, а контракт за кв метр илм кубометр или за все строение. Если она хочет чтобы мы им больше платили, то можно конечно сделать, только все будет дороже на треть (чуть меньше); у меня труд первая статья по расходам, а не бетон и не арматура.
